Naty is a 30-year-old Latina. She was born in Colombia, and at the age of 7 moved to the US. Growing up, it killed her to see her parents work so hard to gain so little. Her mom worked as a janitor at the airport and her father was a social worker. Seeing them work so hard is where she relates getting her entrepreneurial hunger from. By the time she was 10, she decided that she needed to be a businesswoman in order to change her family’s trajectory.
When she turned 21, she purchased her first rental property, which was a mobile home for $6,000 and it only made sense to rent it by the room. Once she started getting rental income from the mobile home, she realized how valuable owning assets was and decided to go all-in on real estate.
Nine years later, she is a frequent real estate buyer & landlord of 50 multi-family rental units that she receives recurring cash flow from every month. If you want to connect with Naty you can find her on Instagram at @natybuyshomes.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel like growing up in poverty and in a country like Colombia, gave me such a limited mindset on what you can achieve in life, and what you deserve in life. That has always been one of my biggest struggles.
Growing up, I was raised to think that people with money were bad and that wanting better things in life was bad. I was also raised with such a limited mindset that I never thought that I could ever do big things such as own real estate, own my business, or inspire others to do the same.
That’s why it’s my mission in life to help others break through those mindset barriers and show them that they can own real estate, no matter what background they come from.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Deals with Dignity LLC?
My business focuses on finding deeply discounted properties, remodeling them, and bringing them to their best potential. Currently, we have 53 multifamily rental units that we get cash flow from every single month.
On the other side of my business, I focus on teaching aspiring real estate investors to do the same, through online courses, workshops, and in-person masterminds events.
The entrepreneurial journey can be lonely at times, and that’s what I aspire to change through my mentorship programs.
