Hi Michelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My mom has always told me to dream big and that I could do anything my heart desired. I come from an immigrant mother who thought dreaming big meant having a great career, avoiding debt, purchasing a nice home and finding a great husband. There’s nothing wrong with that; however, pursuing entrepreneurship wasn’t what she had in mind for me and honestly, I didn’t either. Becoming an entrepreneur was an accident.
My sights were set on becoming the first woman president of the United States, so I decided to join the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school to start my journey toward the White House. This dream of mine (and goals) quickly changed when I met a young man, fell in love, and got married. I loved my military career as an Intelligence Analyst replete with special assignments, international affairs, and involvement in foreign policy conversations; however, it began to affect my marriage.
We tried everything to make our marriage work, to communicate better, and to try to save it, but in the end, we filed for a divorce. It was through this experience that my life’s path changed because it revealed to me my life’s purpose. I decided I wanted to use my 13 years of military intelligence and international diplomacy experience to help people be successful in their love lives. Within 15 months of that decision, I launched my business with the mission of helping professional and high-achieving singles thrive at love.
I’m a lifelong learner, so making the decision to go back to school and earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Social Psychology wasn’t a question. I’m determined to use science and data to figure out how to help people achieve healthy and fulfilling relationships. After all, love is the oxygen to our souls and one of the most powerful superpowers we each have inside.
Our company was founded back in 2013 as Michelle G, initially focused on helping couples restore and maintain healthy relationships through couples coaching. Couples were so happy with their remarkable results that they began referring us to their single friends who needed help finding love. At the same time, the online dating world was exploding, giving us the perfect opportunity to help singles find lasting love through the use of cutting-edge technology.
Today, we have rebranded our company name to Incredible Love and have helped thousands of happy clients in the name of love. We continue striving to become one of the most trusted matchmaking services for singles in South Florida. Though our company has evolved, we’ve never lost our focus on helping clients achieve and maintain healthy relationships.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Whenever you choose the path least traveled, it can be lonely with many unexpected bumps along the way. My road hasn’t been smooth, but with every bump or bruise, there was always something great that came out of it.
My biggest struggle pertained to the day-to-day flow and structuring of the business. I was a “one-woman show” for a long time, and there weren’t enough hours in the day to do it all by myself. To cope with the chaos of life as a startup entrepreneur, I went back to my military training and created a mind map of everything in my head. Once I cleared my head, I started to see the gaps and the structure that I needed to create. Additionally, being a “lone wolf” is never smart when you’re starting out, so I joined a mastermind of women to help me grow in this venture.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
As a child, I moved around a lot with my mom and siblings, but no matter where we would move to, we had a family ritual. Every day after my mom came home from work, she would go into her room and close the door to decompress. Within 3 minutes of the door closing, my siblings and I would open the door and go straight to the bathroom where she was taking off her makeup. Picture these three young children sitting on the edge of the bathroom tub from oldest (meaning me) to youngest, yapping about our day, what we wanted for dinner and everything in between. We would laugh, sometimes cry, and other times we’d argue about who did what, but no matter what, we cherished that uninterrupted time together.

From the beginning, we’ve taken a client-centered approach and, as a result, it has made us one of the leading Matchmaking & Coaching companies in the industry for the past eight years. Initially launching in 2013 as Michelle G Matchmaking & Coaching, we’ve focused on helping thousands of people conquer their dating blindspots, become effective communicators and meet their match so they can experience Incredible Love.
