Community Highlights: Meet Gregory Bader of Miami Biomechanics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Bader. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Miami Biomechanics was founded by Gregory Bader, Gabrielle DeAngelis (two native New Yorkers), Daniel Vega, and Antuan Trujillo (two native Miamians). We met in May of 2020, and we all had a passion for biomechanics training.

On July 1st, 2020, we launched our business in a 1,300 sqft industrial space in Allapattah. We offered group training and personal training to our small membership but quickly started to grow.

On November 1st, 2021, we moved our facility to our current location in Little Havana. We now have 2,200 sqft and hundreds of members!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Luckily, most of our problems have been good problems. Through trial and error, we’ve been able to tweak minor dysfunctions of our gym and any big problem we’ve had related to growing pains.

Executing our move was a big financial risk for the partners at the time. Our young business was growing so well, and we were nervous that the move would shake the membership base that we worked so hard to build. But our members proved unshakeable and extremely loyal during that time and even helped us relocate the equipment!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our facility is dedicated to improving the quality of life of Miamians by educating them on how to move with efficient biomechanics. Often times people seek our facility when they are suffering from pain, structural issues such as scoliosis, or neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy. We do also find that our members are looking to improve their athletic performance as well. We are most proud to be able to achieve great results with each of these demographics and everyone in between!

Our small business offers personal training as well as group fitness training. Personal training sessions are oriented around correcting individual dysfunctions whereas the group training focuses on cardiovascular fitness and strengthening from a functional standpoint.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to us as business owners is that our company contributes to Miami in the most positively impactful way possible. We are working vigorously to achieve our mission of getting every single citizen of Miami optimally healthy.
