Check Out Melissa Batt’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Batt.

Hi Melissa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Wow! When I think about how I started, my immediate thought is, “What a journey it has been!” Most people are surprised to know I didn’t plan for my business to be what it is. It’s been saying yes to getting uncomfortable and taking tiny little steps that have paved the way to where I am now. I was a stay-at-home mom who moved across the country for my husband’s job. As an introvert, I knew if was I ever going to make friends, I was going to have to make myself get out of the house. And, so with that thought in mind, I signed up to sell for a direct sales business I discovered before I had moved. Up until that point, I had no idea I was putting my life on hold to raise my kids, but I absolutely was. Shortly after joining, my business exploded, I climbed the ranks and became a top leader and 6 figure earner. I loved it but I had valuable lessons to learn. It took me over 10 years to learn not to put my identity into what I do and not allow myself to get so caught up in work that I neglect my main priorities. In November 2020, I resigned from my direct sales business to go all in on helping women learn from my mistakes and live with intention and purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the early days, I really battled my own insecurities, and they sometimes held me back. I knew for years I wanted to do what I’m doing but I looked at all of my weaknesses and thought everything was impossible.

I had to coach myself and do what I teach my clients to do; flip the script. It’s a game changer when we start seeing the positive in what we used to see as a negative. Doing this actually helped me be more relatable and build the like, know, and trust factor faster.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Christian life & business coach and love helping women in direct sales discover their God-Sized Dream and help them start walking it out. Most see their businesses as the final destination, and I help them see it as a gateway to more opportunities, income, and impact. I also help them not grow stagnant. So many times, life takes us by surprise, and we get caught up in going through the motions on autopilot and staying in survival mode. My mission is to help them get off (and stay off) the hamster wheel and be more intentional so they can truly live out God’s purpose for their life.

I’m known for being able to keep things real. I tell my clients what they need to hear and also help them believe they can do the things they want to do. I have a lot of experience with depression, trauma, anxiety, and ADHD so I understand what it is like for my clients who are struggling with similar things.

I’m proud of the work my clients are doing. Most are overachievers and often get caught up in doing the business side of things and put their families on the back burner. Because of the work we are doing together, they are being intentional to protect their main priorities. This prevents those things from happening and they get to accomplish big things while protecting their peace.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
There are lots of ways to connect, collab, and work with me. My podcast is launching really soon, and it’s work I’m really proud of. You can find it wherever you listen to podcasts by searching Priorities on Purpose. It’s all about living intentionally in life and business as a Christian woman.

I also have 1 on 1 coaching sessions and a group coaching membership available. Feel free to reach out to me via email or through my website at any time for questions on my services or to collaborate together.
