Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Mallo.
Amanda, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I started doing makeup in 2015 as a Beauty Advisor at Benefit Cosmetics after completing a Basic Makeup Course at Miami Dade College. I learned all of my tips and tricks there and was able to work with hundreds of different skin types. I keep up to date on trends and the latest products from Youtubers like Jaclyn Hill and Carli Bybel. I adore Makeup Artists like Bobbi Brown and Lisa Eldridge and constantly buy from makeup brands like Kevyn Aucoin, Charolette Tillbury and more!>
I am currently working at la bella salon where I have been able to build my clientele and continue my education. I specialize in bridal and special event makeup. My goal is to enhance my clients features and make them feel confident and beautiful. When you love what you do, you never work a day in your life!
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a makeup artist and photographer who specializes in Bridal and Special Event Makeup. I am known for the classic look, always enhancing my clients features and bringing out the best in them. Most of my clients feel so comfortable in my chair they almost fall asleep!.
I am most proud of my professionalism and ability to make the makeup last all night! I listen to my clients needs and make sure they are completely satisfied with their look. Making my clients feel beautiful is my number one priority!
Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
Take in constructive criticism and use it to make you better. Attend was many workshops or classes as you can, you can never learn enough! Don’t be too hard on yourself if a client is unhappy. Listen to their feedback and improve upon it.
