Hi vinny, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building — beyond the brand and the space — is myself. The version of me that learned through mistakes, stayed disciplined, and refused excuses. I’ve taken the time to understand every corner of my business — from the craft to the culture — and that journey has taught me the value of professionalism, integrity, and leading with purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Vinny Larios, founder of Fade Masters of Miami — a modern men’s salon boutique redefining grooming in the heart of Coconut Grove. At Fade Masters, we focus on more than just a great fade — we focus on the health of hair and skin, creating an experience that’s as therapeutic as it is precise. What makes us unique is our culture of education: every client leaves not only looking their best but also understanding how to care for themselves at home. Our mission is to blend craftsmanship, wellness, and confidence — elevating the modern man’s grooming experience to a lifestyle
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was just an immigrant — lost in the heart of Miami with twenty dollars in my pocket and a dream I couldn’t afford to let die. I didn’t have a roadmap, just the belief that I had to make it happen. Every challenge became a lesson, every mistake a step forward. That hunger — that drive to build something out of nothing — is what shaped who I am today!!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Be patient — everything you’re dreaming of will come, just not all at once. Keep your head down, stay true to your values, and trust that the hard moments are building the man you’re meant to become
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
we are committed to changing how the world sees men’s grooming. For too long, barbers and men’s stylists haven’t been recognized with the same respect or artistry given to women’s hair professionals. My mission is to elevate our craft — to show that a fade or a shave isn’t just a service, it’s an experience built on precision, education, and self-care. That’s why at Fade Masters of Miami, we focus on the health and beauty of men — from the scalp to the skin — creating a space where grooming becomes part of wellness and confidence. Through our presence in fashion shows, collaborations, and education, we’re setting a new standard for what men’s grooming truly means.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
My biggest regret would be not building something that outlives me — a name, a culture, and a standard in men’s grooming that Miami and the world will remember.
