Ofir Farahan on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Ofir Farahan shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Ofir, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are sacred—they’re all about centering myself so I can show up with clarity, creativity, and purpose. I ride my bike to the ocean just after sunrise, where I go through a full-blown wellness ritual: yoga, meditation, lifting, running barefoot in the sand, and swimming in the ocean. It’s not just about fitness—it’s about grounding myself in nature, aligning my mind and body, and clearing out the noise before I step into the energy of the studio or the flagship. That hour and a half sets the tone for everything I create. It’s where discipline meets flow—and that balance shows up in the way I design, lead, and live.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Ofir Farahan, founder of OFY—short for Oh F Yeah.
We’re a Miami-based fashion brand rooted in movement, quality, and expression. Our flagship is in Wynwood, but the mindset travels. OFY is all about thoughtful design—focused on fit, fabric, and color—without overcomplicating things.

We produce in the U.S., keep our collections tight, and operate DTC (direct to consumer) so we can offer elevated pieces at a more accessible price point than your typical mid-luxury brand.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My grandparents taught me the most about work. They built a luxury retail empire in NYC before the internet era and shared countless life lessons. The most invaluable lesson they passed on was the importance of work-life balance—no matter how demanding the job, showing up and being present for your family is what truly matters.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Some of the most defining wounds in my life came from uncontrollable events—international viruses starting in Wynwood, COVID, and intense construction in our neighborhood. These challenges pushed my business into fight-or-flight mode multiple times. I healed by accepting what I couldn’t control, focusing on how I responded, and staying flexible. This approach built my resilience and kept me creative in finding new paths forward.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Being truly present is everything to me. I’m a firm believer in living fully in the moment—no scrolling, no distractions. Life’s too short to worry about the wrong things; I want every moment to count and be filled with joy.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
What I’d regret most is not continuing to trust my intuition and gut about the future. Legacy, to me, means staying open and humble enough to listen—especially to the customers who matter most. If I hadn’t taken feedback constructively and without ego, I’d regret missing the chance to create something meaningful that truly serves people and stands the test of time.
