Zule, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Over the course of my journey, I’ve collected beyond ten years of sales experience working for both a Fortune 500 insurance company and cruise line. As an entrepreneur, I’ve been open-minded enough to venture into different opportunities, including the printing, designing, and promotional products industry.
After ensuring the businesses I dealt with reached their goals, I made the decision to reach my own and develop Zu Group. Through tedious nights of not only self-teaching web design and developing but social media strategy as well, Zu Group began to flourish. Practicing integrity, listening, never giving up, remaining humble, and staying grateful have been, and are, the most important lessons I’ve learned throughout this journey These mindful principles have continually guided me towards progress in all areas of my life, not just in business.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s never been a smooth road, smooth moments, yes. If everything is smooth, it most likely points towards the fact that I’m not getting uncomfortable, and in turn, not developing. There have been times where clients needed to be turned down due to my lack of experience in specific areas. A major struggle has been learning how to be patient and trusting the process. More so, staying in my lane and not comparing my journey to others’ has been an ongoing battle for quite some time. As an entrepreneur, it’s a lonely road; you will be misunderstood, but continually moving forward is essential.

The cost of living is extremely high, making it one of the least affordable cities in the country. You need to have a strong business mindset to make it in this competitive city.
