Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Curry.
Veronica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started out having a love and passion for fashion since I could remember. I dream’t of always owning my own store and creating my own clothing line. While in college at Florida A&M University, I wrote a proposal for my father to invest in my dream. He told me to finish college and he will invest if I still wanted to do so. I graduated from Florida A&M University and still had the passion to own my own clothing store and clothing brand.
I went to AI (The Art Institute) for Fashion Merchandising for two semesters to gain the knowledge of being a buyer. In 2019 I stepped out on faith and began my journey and my father was still willing to invest. My company name derives from the show “A Different World” I absolutely loved that show growing up and so when it came time to choose my name and logo, I chose Different Culture! The culture of my clothes is just different! I’ve always loved to be different!
Has it been a smooth road?
Oh no! Becoming an entrepreneur is never a smooth ride. You face fear and doubt every day. Some days you wake up and don’t want to do it anymore, you doubt your ability! But what drives me is my passion, my children, and my family/supporters. I can’t give up!

My business is an online clothing boutique. We sell women’s clothing.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I love about the State of Miami Dade County not Miami, FL (we are a state of our own), lol. I love our diversity, our language, our attitude good or bad, our support systems, our churches, the dances and music we create, Rick Ross Trick and Trina and most of all OUR FOOD CULTURE! I’ve traveled many places and I can say ITS NOTHING LIKE The State of Miami Dade County. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.
