Ron, Owner/Operator of Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream in Parkland, FL.

Prior, he was the owner of a Retained National Executive Recruitment & Career Coaching Firm for over 20 years.

Ron was a featured Career Columnist, an Invited Guest on TV, Community & Corporate Events and numerous other related functions. Topics included career development, career progression & employee retention.

Throughout his career, Ron has developed extensive Business Development, Leadership, Networking, Marketing & PR experience, and once he saw the Founders of Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream on Shark Tank and experienced the Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream creation process & flavor, he was hooked!

The patented, customized ice cream creation process, utilizing Liquid Nitrogen, the taste & catering component were such differentiating factors compared to traditional ice cream shops that Ron decided to forgo the corporate world by purchasing the Sub Zero Parkland, FL location.

Now, his efforts are solely concentrated on utilizing his extensive Marketing, PR & Business skills to continue the growth path and awareness of this fascinating Brand & Product!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I first purchased the store in September of 2017, I had very little retail experience, so I was learning from the previous owner and from some of our employees.

Learning on the job, growing the business with mounting bills and creating brand awareness was very challenging.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream, Parkland – what should we know?
SUB ZERO NITROGEN ICE CREAM: The Original, Patented Pioneer utilizing Liquid Nitrogen to instantly freeze custom Ice-Cream, Shakes, Smoothies, Pies & “Dragon’s Breath” by hand.

OUR STORY: The science & safety in the use of Liquid Nitrogen was created & patented by Jerry Hancock, who developed a method of freezing ice cream & frozen desserts using nothing more than a burst of -321 degrees F of Liquid Nitrogen. His technique was such a success that in 2004, Jerry & his wife, Naomi, opened the 1st Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream store in Utah. Since then, Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream has 55 locations (and growing) throughout the U.S., China & the United Arab Emirates. Its impressive growth has also earned the founders, Jerry & Naomi Hancock, an inspiring appearance on Shark Tank!

HOW IT WORKS: Create your own unique Ice-Cream by selecting from a variety of fresh creams, including lactose & sugar-free, & from a vast array of flavors, toppings & fresh fruits. We combine your selected base, flavors & toppings by hand, then with a “blast” of -321 degrees F of liquid nitrogen, we flash freeze your customized ice-cream in front of you! Enjoy the freshest & most delicious ice-cream “you” have ever created!

CATERING: Our patented ice cream creation process is fully mobile enabling us to Cater any local event and bring our “show” to your function delighting your guests with our customized creation process & great taste!

FUNDRAISING: We host a variety of Fundraisers at our store designed to provide a fun venue & raise money for a great cause at the same time.
