For 29 years Margaret Ann, owner of The Crystal Garden, has been living her dream and helping thousands along the way. Her commitment to helping people is graciously done through her sensitivity to their needs and assisting them in reaching their personal goals through the power of positive thought.
From humble beginnings in a tiny front showroom with crystals, some incense, cassettes (music on tape), and consignment crafts, they’ve grown both in footprint and reputation. And boy, they have learned a lot along the way! From staff members, teachers, customers, fellow retailers, and even animals. The Crystal Garden is more than just a store; it is a family.
In 2005, with the ‘birth’ of Smudge in Spray, The Crystal Garden officially became a brand and a wholesale vendor. They soon added Margaret Ann’s seven self-published meditations CDs. They now offer over 100 aromatherapy and positive thought products under The Crystal Garden label. You can find The Crystal Garden Brand in the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, Germany, Canada, Mexico, and of course, throughout the USA. They are doing their part “to heal the planet one spritz at a time!” They have stayed true to their roots. Margaret Ann still hand blends all the essential oil synergies. Their staff consciously hand bottles and labels all of their aromatherapy products infusing them with extra love and intention.
In 2011, with the publication of Margaret Ann’s first book, Chakra Awakening (Llewellyn Worldwide), she was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of sharing the knowledge she has garnered with the world. Chakra Awakening is now in its seventh printing and is translated into seven languages making it truly international. As with everything else, this was just the beginning. Margaret Ann has authored five books (plus three more are in the process of being written), four decks (a fifth deck soon to be released), and two more CDs – published by both Llewellyn Worldwide and Findhorn Press.
Her books, decks, and CDs combine the use of the power of positive thought, establishing a clear intention along with the use of aroma and gemstones. The power of color and scent are reminders for body, mind, and soul to create your own reality. For example, in her CD, Chakra Balancing Crystal Alignment CD – the only audio CD featuring a guided crystal alignment provides the listener or crystal healing practitioner with step-by-step instructions. You learn where to place the stone and what to say you place the crystal on the body. Instruction and guided meditation are used as an avenue for gentle self-reflection via to create your reality consciously.
In her series of gemstone guardians decks, Angels & Gemstone Guardians Cards; Archangels & Gemstone Guardians Cards; Masters, Mystics, Saints & Gemstone Guardians Cards – each deck with 44 Oracle cards with 44 different gemstones that bring you messages to increase your awareness. The messages on one side give you a reading. The angel associated with the gemstone on the other side of the card provides you with a positive affirmation to help you transform your reality. All of her Oracle decks are two-sided to maximize information and the power of positive thought. After all, thoughts created reality!
Following the success of all these publications and years of teaching classes across the country as well as locally, Margaret Ann created an online Academy, AcademyoftheSpiritualArts.com, which is a sacred space for learning and personal growth online.
In addition to the award-winning line of Aromatherapy Sprays, The Crystal Garden recently added their “Be” line of Roll On essential oil blends. They use medical grade oils in a carrier of fractionated coconut oil – each blend with the intentions based on popular requests received from their customers over the years. Everyone seems to want more money, love, security, motivation, and the like. Each essential oil blend is thoughtfully combined to support these intentions fully. These intentions serve to give each one a unique aroma with real therapeutic qualities – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Margaret Ann is featured as the Crystal Expert on Mandala TV show in Season 1, Episode 5, streaming on Amazon Videos alongside other well-respected authors and spiritual leaders like Michael Bernard Beckwith, Barbara DeAngelis, and Malika Chopra.
Has it been a smooth road?
The business as well as my work as an author has evolved over time. As Malcolm Gladwell said in “Outliers”, it takes 10,000 hours to become an overnight success.” Practice and experience have been the gift in growing my business. Revenue streams were low during the early years of my business. Now 29 years later the store is growing and thriving.

I offer events for personal and spiritual development including meditation, Crystal Singing Bowl Experiences, Drumming Circles and more. We are known for and specialize in selling a selection of crystals, minerals, and stones as well as The Crystal Garden Brand Medical Grade Essential Oils, Aromatherapy Sprays, and Roll On Blends – all the blends are the formulas of Margaret Ann Lembo.
The Wholesale Division of The Crystal Garden supplies bookstores, spas, medi spas, chiropractors, yoga studios, and holistic centers with our line of aromatherapy worldwide including Canada, England, Japan, and Mexico.
We are especially known for Smudge in Spray = a liquid alternative to smoky smudge products for clearing. Intend to replace negativity with Love, Light, and Well-being. The Crystal Garden is much more than a retail and wholesale establishment. It is a Conscious Living business. In the retail brick and mortar store, customers come in to find peace and spiritual connection as well as to buy unusual gifts
