Today we’d like to introduce you to Kezia Belle.
Kezia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
This business is a partnership between two sisters (Kezia Belle and Tamar Belle) who are passionate about being apart of something fun and connecting with people.
I, Kezia Belle started this journey at the age of 16 in my country Barbados in July of 2016, where I told my dad I wanted to sell hair. He looked at me and said “okay if that’s what you want to do. DO IT!” So, he found me a supplier and lent me $2000 and ordered me two sets of each and from there my sister helped me with picking name and registering the company. We created an Instagram page started by following our friends and sold our first hair on August 31st of that year and so our journey continued by collaborating with other small businesses to do giveaways, setting up booths at different events and shows and building our online clientele. Interacting with our customers and building a reputation of low prices and amazing quality and soon became the #1 supplier in Barbados. Shortly after I received the opportunity to study abroad in Miami which was hard and then put a toll on my sister to handle everything, but also became a blessing for us because shipping became easier. We were also blessed to take a trip to China to meet our suppliers and see first hand what our industry was all about. Now, we have expanded to the U.S. where I use my school to make a stepping stone to show off my business to students. Along the way, I have made connections with people in the industry such as Beautyful Desires an amazing hairstylist in the Fort Lauderdale area who is has been a mentor and friend and Get Braided Now team who not only taught me the tricks of the trade but welcomes my business with open arms. Currently, we have three hair collections and a product line and we are continuing to grow and thrive and become better as the industry increases.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Royalt Hair Extensions story. Tell us more about the business.
Having our own product line of shampoos, conditioners and oil sheens sets up apart from other suppliers. Being able to offer a full hair care brand makes us unique. We thrive on offering quality and making every female is treated like the queen and princesses they are.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Operating on online is great but simply not enough we see our self in a storefront in the next 5 to 10 years as well as hosting seminars for other small businesses to help them grow.
