Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Margell-Fleisher.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’m a self-employed Marketing & Media Professional originally from Austin area, Texas. I create boutique websites, put together marketing programs for the Weddings & Events Industry, design marketing materials (postcards, business cards, brochures, etc.), and create basic logos. My business is: Click Kat Web & Marketing.
I also co-own and operate Let’s Party! DJs & Entertainment and SoFLo Photographers with my husband, Bud Fleisher. I balance my business(es) with being a proud mom of our baby boy, Simon Fleisher. In my spare time, I write poetry and watch a lot of Netflix!
Please tell us about your art.
I create:
Marketing Plans for Wedding & Event Venues. Boutique Websites, most for small businesses in the Weddings & Events Industry. Marketing Materials, such as brochures, postcards, wedding invitations, business cards, etc. Simple Logos. I help small businesses and professionals get clearer on their message, look “jazzier”, and more appealing to their clients.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I’m not sure I qualify myself as an “artist” per se. I’m artistic when creating marketing materials or a website, or when I write poetry, but artists are more than creative. Artists reveal the world as it is in an inventive way or they aim to change the world through their work. “Successful” artists DO change the world, even if only on a local scale.
