Meet Dr Samantha Eve Morris of Family Psych Central , Your Turn ™️, United Providers Alliance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Samantha Eve Morris.

Hi Dr Samantha Eve, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
1. My path to where I am today has been shaped by a blend of clinical rigor, entrepreneurship, and a deep commitment to ethical, compassionate care. I began my career in psychology and behavioral health, drawn early on to understanding not just symptoms, but the systems, relationships, and environments that shape human experience. Early on , I recognized that mental health cannot be meaningfully separated from physical health, leadership demands, family systems, or the broader context of a person’s life.

That realization became a catalyst for pursuing an integrated care lens and ultimately earning my Doctor of Behavioral Health and becoming Vice President of Behavioral Health , as a healthcare executive for nearly a decade. Integrated care solidified my belief in seeing—and treating—the whole person comprehensively, rather than in fragments. It deepened my ability to collaborate across disciplines and address the intersection of behavioral health, medical conditions, performance, and well-being in a way that is both clinically sound and practical.

This foundation led me to establish and grow a private practice grounded in evidence-based treatment, strong clinical ethics, and whole-person care. As the practice expanded, I gained a front-row view of both the transformative power of high-quality mental health services and the systemic gaps that often limit access, continuity, and outcomes.

Those gaps sparked innovation. One result was YourTurn, a clinical app designed to extend therapeutic support beyond the session and into clients’ daily lives through clinician-guided tools and real-time application. Built directly from clinical experience, the platform reflects my commitment to integration—bridging therapy, skill-building, and accountability in a way that supports sustainable change.

As my work evolved, I expanded into executive coaching as a way to broaden my reach and amplify impact. Coaching allows me to apply integrated behavioral health principles to leaders, founders, and professionals navigating complexity, growth, and burnout. By combining psychological insight, behavioral strategy, and leadership development, I help individuals perform effectively while maintaining health, alignment, and resilience.

Today, my work lives at the intersection of integrated behavioral health, private practice, executive coaching, and mental health innovation. Whether I’m working with a patient, coaching a leader, or building systems and technology, my focus remains the same: to treat the whole person, strengthen systems of care, and create meaningful, scalable impact. Every step of the journey has reinforced my belief that lasting change happens when clinical excellence, integration, and thoughtful leadership come together.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No meaningful path is ever completely smooth, and mine has been no exception. Along the way, I’ve faced challenges that tested me both personally and professionally, ultimately shaping how I lead, practice, and advocate today.

On a personal level, I’ve navigated significant medical adversity, including chronic kidney disease and recovery from a serious vehicular accident that required relearning how to walk. Those experiences fundamentally deepened my understanding of vulnerability, resilience, and the realities patients face when health, independence, and identity are disrupted. They reinforced the importance of integrated, compassionate care—not as a concept, but as a lived necessity.

Professionally, some of the most complex challenges have come from leading with integrity in environments where ethical, high-quality care is not always the dominant priority. In corporate healthcare settings, I have consistently advocated for clinical excellence, patient-centered outcomes, and ethical decision-making, even when those values conflicted with a purely fiscal bottom line. Choosing to lead by example—prioritizing quality, compliance, and humanity—has not always been the easiest or most popular path, but it has been the right one.

Each of these challenges required adaptability, resolve, and a willingness to remain grounded in purpose during uncertainty. Rather than slowing my trajectory, they sharpened it. They clarified my commitment to whole-person care, strengthened my leadership voice, and reinforced my belief that sustainable impact is built through resilience, ethical clarity, and the courage to do what serves people best—especially when it’s difficult.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My work operates through a private practice and consulting firm designed to bridge clinical excellence, leadership development, and integrated behavioral health. At its core, the practice specializes in whole-person care—addressing psychological health within the broader context of physical health, professional demands, family systems, and organizational environments.

In the clinical setting, my practice is known for evidence-based treatment, ethical rigor, and thoughtful integration. I work with adolescents, adults, families, and high-performing professionals, offering care that is both deeply personalized and grounded in measurable outcomes. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, we focus on comprehensive assessment, collaboration, and practical strategies that translate into real-world change.

Alongside direct clinical services, the consulting arm of the firm supports healthcare organizations, private practices, and leadership teams. This work includes executive coaching, integrated care consulting, quality and compliance strategy, and program development. I am often brought in to help organizations strengthen clinical infrastructure, align operations with ethical standards, and build sustainable systems that prioritize quality of care without sacrificing performance.

What sets the firm apart is its intentional integration of clinical practice, leadership expertise, and systems-level thinking. With a Doctor of Behavioral Health and extensive experience across healthcare and corporate environments, I am able to operate fluently at both the individual and organizational level—supporting personal growth while also addressing structural and cultural drivers of outcomes.

Brand-wise, what I am most proud of is the reputation we’ve built for integrity. Our work is guided by a commitment to ethical decision-making, transparency, and clinical accountability, even when that approach requires taking the less conventional path. Innovation, including tools like the YourTurn clinical app, is always anchored in sound clinical judgment and real-world application rather than trends or shortcuts.

What I want readers to know is that this is a mission-driven practice and firm. Whether through therapy, coaching, consulting, or technology, the goal is the same: to elevate the standard of behavioral health care, support leaders and organizations in doing meaningful work, and create systems that treat people as whole human beings—not just diagnoses, roles, or revenue lines.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I approach mentorship and networking with curiosity, humility, and intention rather than strategy alone. I’ve always been open to learning from others—particularly experts in their fields, those who work across disciplines, and individuals whose perspectives challenge how I think and practice. Some of the most impactful mentorship I’ve experienced has come from outside my immediate field, including healthcare, leadership, technology, and holistic and integrative disciplines. These cross-disciplinary relationships have expanded my cultural competence, sparked creativity in my work, and helped keep my practice grounded while continuing to evolve.

I’m also drawn to people who have pioneered change and disrupted the status quo, especially within behavioral health. Being in conversation with those who are willing to question norms, innovate thoughtfully, and lead ethically through complexity has consistently pushed me to grow. One guiding principle I take to heart comes from Confucius: “If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room.” I intentionally place myself in environments where I can listen more than I speak, be challenged, and learn from the brightest and most insightful voices.

Equally important to me is giving back through mentorship. I actively mentor students and professionals at various stages of their careers, offering guidance around clinical development, ethical decision-making, leadership growth, and navigating complex healthcare systems. Mentorship, to me, is about creating access—sharing hard-earned insight, normalizing challenges, and helping others build confidence without compromising their values.

This reciprocal approach—being both a lifelong learner and a committed mentor—has shaped my career and leadership philosophy. It allows me to stay curious, connected, and accountable while contributing to the future of the field by supporting others who will continue to raise the standard of care, innovate responsibly, and lead with integrity.
