Hi Carlos, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Morovis, a small town in the central part of Puerto Rico. After finishing high school, I initially attended college in Puerto Rico. However, I decided to move to Miami to complete my undergraduate studies.
During my first year in Miami, I realized my true passion was in real estate—not just as an agent, but as an investor who could transform properties and build a successful business with a great team. Following this dream, I took a leap of faith and dropped out of college. I began educating myself through various online resources.
It was during this time that I met Ray, who would become one of my best friends and a mentor. Ray taught me everything about real estate investing, guiding me through the process of buying and renovating properties. With Ray’s mentorship, I gained the confidence to go all in. Despite having very little money and living off credit cards, I believed in my vision and myself.
I invested all I had into my first property. After weeks of hard work and implementing everything I learned from Ray, I successfully bought, renovated, and sold my first investment property. This experience solidified my mission: to have a positive impact on communities by improving homes, one house at a time.
Today, I lead a small team of five people, and we buy and renovate four properties each month on average. Our goal is to transform homes in poor condition into beautiful, welcoming spaces for families, thereby improving the community.
In addition to my real estate endeavors, I host a podcast called SELF INVESTOR PODCAST where I share my story and interview successful entrepreneurs, particularly in real estate. Through this platform, I aim to contribute to society by sharing the secrets to my success, hoping others can replicate and benefit from them.
Something I take great pride in is my Puerto Rican heritage. Everywhere I go, I proudly share where I’m from. I promote and celebrate my roots, letting everyone know that I’m from Puerto Rico. It’s a significant part of who I am and what drives me. I am also passionate about supporting fellow Puerto Ricans and anyone who is hustling and striving to be the best version of themselves. I am growth-oriented and strongly believe in uplifting those who are dedicated to their personal and professional development.
My journey has been about taking risks, believing in my vision, and working tirelessly to make a positive impact. I enjoy the process, cherish the progress, and strive to grow together with my team while making a difference in the world.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I really appreciate this question because I believe that one of the main reasons people fail when starting their own business is due to false expectations. Of course, the journey is challenging and filled with struggles. However, I cherish every single struggle because each difficulty I face is a testament to the obstacles my competition also encounters. It becomes a matter of who can break through and continue. This realization motivates me to be the one who overcomes these obstacles.
One of the primary struggles I faced was changing my beliefs. Initially, I didn’t believe in myself. I doubted my ability to run a business, save money, and start investing. I didn’t have the confidence to raise funds, market my business, or even talk to people effectively. Overcoming these self-doubts was my biggest challenge.
Starting out, very few people believed in my vision. Many thought I was simply chasing a dream without any real potential for success. However, I was fortunate to have a mentor like Ray and a few close supporters who believed in me and my vision. Despite the lack of widespread support, I kept pushing forward.
The main struggle was hustling without seeing immediate rewards. I took pride in my perseverance, always reminding myself that one day I would achieve my dream. Today, I can say that I am on the path to achieving those dreams. I continue to strive to be the best version of myself and to accomplish more each day.
The journey required me to believe in myself before anyone else did. I had to wake up early, work hard, and stay dedicated because no one else would do it for me. These experiences have shaped who I am today. Thanks to those challenging days, I now lead my business and my team with confidence and determination.

Several people deserve credit for their significant roles in my success and the success of SWIFT House Solutions. First and foremost is Ray Rodriguez. Ray has been an incredible mentor and supporter, believing in me from the beginning and teaching me everything I know about real estate. Without his guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Antonio Consuegra, my first employee and now one of my closest friends, deserves special recognition. Antonio is dedicated, always seeking feedback, and striving to be the best version of himself. His commitment to the business and our shared vision has been invaluable.
I must also mention Jose Bolivar and Jose Borges, two friends who work with me on the marketing side. They are eager to learn and passionate about their roles, and I appreciate their hard work and dedication to the business.
Sebastian Lahens has been a great help with the social media aspect of the business. His support and friendship mean a lot to me. Additionally, my friend Gio has been kind enough to let me rent his studio for my podcast, providing essential support for that venture.
