Meet Alexandra Lund

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Lund.

Alexandra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am originally from Cali, Colombia.

I have always been actively involved in sports and fitness; since my early teenage years I have enjoyed gymnastics, aerobic exercises, spinning, and weight training.

I am a mother of two lovely children ages 11 and 7.  During both pregnancies, I gained 35 pounds, which I attempted to drop soon after delivering via C-section. The first time it was a lot easier to lose weight because I was 30 years old and accustomed to working out on a regular basis. After the second pregnancy, I noticed that it took me a lot more time and effort to lose the weight.

After a lot of hard work and research into the best methods of combining strength and conditioning, along with nutrition, I was able to get back into my size 0 outfits.

My persistence and dedication provided me positive results, prompting many of my friends to ask me to share the secrets of how I bounced back to my normal shape.

Soon after, I decided to seek my certification as a Personal Trainer and specialize in helping new mothers to get back into shape.

Since then, I have expanded my knowledge and expertise into Functional Training, Conditioning, TRX, and Animal Flow. I help my clients with customized training programs designed to assist them in overcoming injuries and reaching their fitness goals.

Three years ago I started to train from my own home, without having to go to a gym due to my hectic family schedule. My goal was to create specialized training programs that provided my clients with the same or better results obtained from working out in a gym.

Eventually, I built a home-gym in my garage, customized to my needs and the specialized training programs I have developed for my clients and myself.

I am currently providing personal training services in the convenience of my client’s homes or condominium gyms. I also conduct virtual personal and group training programs via face time. I also offer home-gym designs and installation services, customized to their specific needs and training requirements.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The primary obstacles I have faced in developing my career, as a personal trainer has been Time Management.

As a busy mother and wife, with a husband who constantly travels, it is very difficult to balance my time as a housewife and mother and my professional career.

Although there is nothing new to most working moms who juggle multiple jobs and family responsibilities, the secret to overcoming these obstacles is to observe a strict schedule and always make time for yourself. This is a trait I attempt to install in all of my clients who make excuses as to why they are not able to make it to a personal training session. If you don’t make time for yourself – no one else will!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Alexa Lund Fitness – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a Personal Trainer who loves to guide and motivate others to live a healthier lifestyle. I’m specialized in Functional Training and HIIT Training Programs.

Those who know me truly get a sense that I am forthcoming and relatable. “I’m a real Person.” I’m somebody who understands people’s daily struggles, and I help them overcome the obstacles that are keeping them from reaching their fitness objectives.

My current business initiative revolves around promoting my new brand “Alexa Lund Fitness” by letting people know more about the type of Service that I provide, and my style of training. I also use Social Media to give my follower’s motivational tips, empowering quotes, testimonies, nutritional tips, and workout routines that people can save or do “on the go.”

Any predictions for the industry over the next few years?
I see the industry going towards more personalized online and virtual training. I also see more integration of nutritional and fitness programs in order to optimize training results.

The fitness industry is, and always will be, a big part of our society. Hopefully, people will become more aware of the importance and long-term benefits of leading a better, healthier lifestyle.
