Hi Jatin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
With a Finance background and experience I felt that not all was in complete control when handling clients money and thereby their future while investing for them or suggesting insurance products. Wanted to do something creative, fun, and something that would give me complete control of the outcome. I wanted to be 100 % responsible of the results and that is when I launched Magikbox Creations – A Content creations company focused on story telling.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never smooth, especially the initial years. Running a business and taking care of various aspects of it, like mainly cash flow, financing, and marketing, These including many other aspects of running a business always has me pulled in all directions but I have realized that the rush is just in one’s mind, if each aspect of business is given a fair, undivided, day of focus and planning then all falls in place. And it is a consistent and repetative process, the continuity of these mundane habits cannnot be broken to remain in operation.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Magikbox Creations creates content for Business owners and the Real Estate world. Corporate headshots, Corporate Videos, Testimonials, Promotional ads, and Q&A Videos are what every business owner with a website would need. In today’s times “Out of Sight = Out of mind” applies, especially since there is a non-stop onslaught of content from every direction.
As far as the Real Estate – We help realtors bridge the gap between a seller and a buyer by creating images, videos, floor plans, 360 3D tours, and Aerial visuals.
We are basically story tellers and if we can tell a story of a professional by means of videos and images to help them reach their ideal customers then we consider our job done.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Changing careers in my 40s — and moving into a field that demanded an entirely new skill set — was a complete 180-degree shift from everything I had been trained to do throughout my professional life. It was a significant risk, but I say “we” took that risk because it would never have been possible without the unwavering support of my two strongest pillars: my wife, Amy, and my brother and closest friend, Dan.
I’ve always believed in the saying, “A rolling stone gathers no moss.” The very day I left my 12-year career in finance was the same day we launched Magikbox Creations. Almost overnight, we chose the company name, defined our service offerings, designed the logo, and began marketing locally the very next morning — letting the MAGIK unfold
