Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrianna Gluck.
Adrianna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m pretty sure I always liked to make things. I would bring back drawings and paintings and crafts from school, camp, or sometimes even playdates. My earliest handmade jewelry memory is probably when I wanted the pair of earrings I was wearing to a friend’s wedding to match my dress. Combine that with a career transition, a love of going to markets, and meeting makers. Three and a half years ago, my creative business began.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Without any prior knowledge, no books read, no courses taken, no idea of what I was doing or what needed to be done, I learned as I went. Let’s be honest, I am still learning as I go.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do a few different things. I am a professional organizer/declutterer, service coordinator, and creative business owner. My creative business began as Adrianna Gluck Jewelry, but once I was creating more than just jewelry, I dropped “Jewelry” and left my business name as my own. I guess it felt like what I was creating was an extension of myself. Mostly I create handmade jewelry, sewn goods, and wall hangings. Pieces are small-batch and unique. I design and create playful and fresh pieces with bright colors and unique shapes. I work with polymer clay, semi-precious stones, and lots in between. I’m also someone who enjoys the details and often notices them in situations, so I make sure to pay attention to the details I give my customers.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Playing with colors and shapes and combining different materials. I always try to have fun with what I create and bring the joy and playfulness into each piece!
