Inspiring Conversations with Vivian Rosenthal of Frequency Breathwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vivian Rosenthal.

Vivian Rosenthal

Hi Vivian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been on a spiritual journey of seeking to understand who I was and why I was here ever since I was a child. My journey to becoming a breathwork teacher and guide started about ten years ago after I was hospitalized at the Mayo Clinic with a long battle with Lyme Disease, Autoimmune Disease, and severe gut dysbiosis.

I was struggling with depression, anxiety and panic attacks and knew that I needed something to help me heal myself. I ended up training in both Kundalini Yoga and Cyclical Breathwork and they both helped my mental health and overall well-being so much that I left my career in technology to pursue the healing arts. I opened up Frequency Breathwork, the first-of-its-kind breathwork studio in NYC, and have since guided over 10,000 people through a therapeutic journey. I am passionate about empowering individuals to become their own healers.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The path of healing and awakening has never been easy, nor has it been linear. It has required complete surrender and trust that I am being held. There have been endless struggles, both with physical health and with spiritual growth. The more we choose to awaken and be conscious, the more we realize we need to let go of attachments and limiting beliefs. It’s a very challenging but rewarding path to take and I love helping other people on their journey.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Frequency Breathwork?
I am a breathwork teacher, guide, and healer. I’m the co-founder of Frequency Breathwork and Diamond Rose Sanctuary, a retreat center in CT. My practice weaves together Kundalini, Breathwork & Energy medicine to create shifts in consciousness. I am committed to empowering individuals to become their own healers.

I weave the visual arts with the healing arts to create collective spaces for awakening and transformation. The breathwork activations open up expanded states of consciousness and help connect people with their intuition (their higher selves) and their creativity (their divine purpose) break free of old patterns, addictions, and stories, and move into a space of self-love and wholeness.

Currently, I’m working on Symphony of the Soul, the first of its kind 1,000-person symphonic breathwork with a live symphony being performed in Michigan. I hope to have the chance to bring this to Miami so if anyone knows of any incredible venues please get in touch! I have a private practice in NYC, CT, Miami, and the Hamptons and travel extensively teaching at retreats and conferences around the country.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a dreamer. My imagination roamed free. I designed futuristic worlds and dreamt of otherworldly encounters. This love of spaces fueled my desire to study architecture. I later received a Masters in Architecture from Columbia University.

My graduate thesis focused on how immersive spaces shape and affect our psychology, which later informed the creation of the Frequency Dome, an immersive set and setting that used animated sacred geometry inside of a womb-like space to create a safe and sacred container for collective healing.
