Inspiring Conversations with Danielle Bigby of SOOPERMOOD

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Bigby.

Hi Danielle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Becoming a Psilocybin Advocate, Founder of SOOPERMOOD, Speaker, Life & Business Coach, and host of the Podcast Rebellious Reinvention is what I like to call the snowball effect, all of my careers rolled into one.

As I have learned to become the observer of my life, I have also learned to pivot in my career dramatically, which has been a unique skill set and one of my missions to share with others, to break the stigma around career and life transformation.

I like to say I have had as many careers as I have shoes because it spans many industries including; photography, hair, yoga, retail merchandising, hospitality, and life & business coaching. I have been in the wellness space for over ten years. I began my personal journey of transformation after my first few failed career paths.

It was through yoga, working with eastern modalities, psychedelics, and ancient philosophies I began to heal, integrate and transform my life, discovering who I truly am and what my purpose was.

As of today, I am a mother, the co-founder of an adaptogen brand called SOOPERMOOD, superfoods for all your moods, and host of my podcast Rebellious Reinvention, I still work with select clients as a business coach and mentor helping my clients step into their personal brands or next career revolution.

Coming to this place of fulfillment and creating a family did not come easy, but with my practices and devotion to personal and spiritual development, all the obstacles have been purposeful. My hope is to inspire others to find their inner strength and that future version of themselves to do the same.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
On my path to building my dream career and family, I had many dark knights of the soul, crushing periods of depression and abusing alcohol and drugs.

I had many failed career and entrepreneurial ventures, which lead to imposter syndrome, shame, and a battle with my self-esteem. After healing myself and my relationship, through compassionate awareness (and loads of therapy) I began to heal and trust in myself, recognizing that the failures were just steps on the path to success and totally normal. Every great success story begins with many failed attempts, it’s all part of the process.

This healing even extended to establishing a conscious and loving relationship with my now fiancé, Gabe Orta.

When we became pregnant with our daughter the real journey began, living between Miami, NYC, and LA as he opened his new locations of Broken Shaker. Being a mother on the move during postpartum is not as glamorous as it sounds. Removed from my inner circle and support systems left me battling with postpartum depression.

Building up to an almost four-year cycle of depression, which ultimately was such a gift. It was my opening to exploring psychedelics again, specifically microdosing psilocybin with integration including hypnotherapy, somatic coaching, and therapy.

After my healing, as before with yoga, I wanted to share this modality with the world, advocating for decriminalization and educating on the mental health benefits of utilizing psychedelics for healing PSTD, PPD, trauma, and anxiety, depression and so much more.

After overcoming my PPD I also became fascinated with optimizing my health, healing my gut, and supporting my adrenal system by reducing coffee, and adding superfoods to my diet. Ultimately, biohacking.

In my quest to optimize my mental and biological health, my family dove deeply into superfoods, functional mushrooms, and adaptogens, we birthed the concept of SOOPERMOOD, “Superfoods for all your moods”, utilizing functional fungi and friends (non-psychedelic mushrooms and plant adaptogens). Our first product is set to launch end of 2022.

My hope is to turn my pain into purpose and to inspire others to do the same, taking their health, career, and personal development into their own hands.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Our functional food company will assist people in health and optimization, utilizing the inherent intelligence of plant power and functional mushrooms.

The first product is set to launch at the end of 2022 and it is a coffee additive or replacement (that’s sooper tasty) this product assists in reducing high loads of caffeine alleviating the crash that often comes with coffee.

This will also be an amazing product to couple with microdosing, as it’s recommended to reduce your caffeine intake because of the naturally occurring energy in psilocybin.

SOOPERMOOD looks forward to becoming a leader in the mood wellness food space, with products that support optimization and get more plants into people.

What do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck, I believe we are all handed specific experiences, pain, trauma, family, and social dynamics often called Karma. We’re here to walk through the obstacles, overcome them and become a testament to that.

Turn your pain into purpose, and position yourself for the vision you have for your life, all your desires are meant for you, there’s nothing accidental about it.
