In 2019, inspired by my passion for spirituality and the metaphysical, I conceptualized “Gaja Boheme”. “Gaja,” meaning elephant—a symbol of strength, wisdom, and abundance. Boheme represents my love for the bohemian style. In 2020, amid the pandemic, I discovered my first product: chakra-based candles.
This breakthrough then led to a shift from products to services in 2022, motivated by my Reiki and Sound Healing meditation certifications. After learning that you needed to be a licensed massage therapist or reverend to own a Reiki practice, I decided to go with massage therapy. Choosing massage as my focus, I aimed to create a true mind-body-spirit experience. After obtaining my license in September 2022, I crafted the Gaja Boheme Experience—a holistic service offering more than just massage.
In 2023, we expanded our center and intensified our mission. Today, we’re dedicated to expanding our services through ancient and modern modalities, emphasizing unique experiences over conventional massages. The Gaja Experience, for instance, combines massage, energy healing, sound healing, and aromatherapy for an inspiring journey that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
Our Red Tent Women’s Gathering, held monthly, fosters sisterhood through moments of sharing circles, singing, dancing, and laughter. Our focus is on building a community, staying true to the essence of Gaja—strong, mighty, powerful, and abundant.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth roads lack the thrill of the journey! Embracing chaos has been my mantra, and the biggest challenge has been learning to appreciate each step while being patient with the process—a task that often tests my resolve.
The key, I’ve discovered, is to infuse fun into the journey. This mindset shift has been crucial. Navigating challenges becomes enjoyable when fueled by passion.
Witnessing the fusion of my experiences and professional background contributing to the growth of Gaja Boheme has made every hurdle worthwhile. It’s the unpredictable twists that add spice to the entrepreneurial adventure.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Certainly, the COVID-19 crisis has been a transformative period for me. It underscored the significance of financial independence, compelling me to invest effort into my entrepreneurial journey and work towards realizing my dreams.
On a personal level, the pandemic became a catalyst for substantial evolution. The enforced stillness prompted a profound self-discovery journey, emphasizing the value of being present and introspective.
This challenging time has ultimately been a teacher, imparting lessons in resilience, self-awareness, and the pursuit of personal and professional aspirations.
