Hi Marc, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in economics. After college, I had the opportunity to invest in a business with my brother and build up my entrepreneurial skillsets. We ran and operated a beauty business that consisted of health and wellness products, princereigns.com. I was intrigued and focused on the health side and with the connection of a colleague, started MASC medical recruitment firm, a healthcare staffing agency headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL. (MASCmedical.com) I’ve been the owner of MASC Medical Recruitment Firm for over ten years and had the opportunity to serve 100’s of organizations in staffing medical professionals to grow their footprint and better serve their patients.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road has been challenging, with quite a few road blocks and difficult relationships. The biggest challenge in starting a business is the lack of guidance/direction provided for success. I believe it’s extremely important to get a mentor who can assist you with navigating the struggles and re-affirm your positive decision making.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Before I started working as a recruiter, I used to DJ in college and a few a brief period in Miami, FL. I’ve opened up for some talented artists such as Pusha T and dj’d alongside talented artists Hebru Brantley. I’ve provided me with an interesting perspective and respect for creative artists and the courage it takes to create.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
