Conversations with Aimèe Cuadra

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aimèe Cuadra.

Aimèe Cuadra

Hi Aimèe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
When I was 19 years old I took my first Yoga class! I wasn’t very into moving my body at this point in my life- as I had recently graduated high school (and been an awkward teen/adolescent for all my life) & the most physically active I had ever been was that one summer in band camp. I remember being very curious and easily persuaded by my aunt who encouraged me to try something new.

My life changed after that day. It began with the “play” & self-challenging myself into different asanas (yoga postures), & quickly made its way into amazement and enchantment by the newfound bodily sensations, the invitation to be present within, the connection to myself and the people around me, & the sense of universal love being absolutely everywhere.

It took quite the journey to be where I currently am, and it is no coincidence. As someone who struggled with feeling safe in my own body, yoga was the beginning for me in accessing that safety within, and eventually, it led me to explore other areas of health as I acknowledged that to live a life of quality, health is essential. Fast forward to today and I became inspired to start my own wellness business where I now plan to offer MORE than just Yoga.

I am 200 Hours certified in Yoga (trauma-informed) and am also certified in Yin Yoga, Kids Yoga, Mat Pilates, and provide Sound Healing, and recently completed my certification in Integrative Nutrition from IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition)! I am so grateful and blessed to be where I am! If it weren’t for the love and support from my loved ones, I don’t know where I’d be today!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh definitely has not been a smooth road. There were many moments of self-doubt, of insecurities, feeling unworthy to succeed, & of endless fears. Constantly pulling me back and forth. They still pop up!

Even currently, I am going through a challenge with my own health BUT, this is all an opportunity to continue growing and learning. I will only come out stronger on the other side. But the faith is stronger, always. I trust in God.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I would say I am a Wellness Instructor/Entrepreneur! My current focus is to be able to provide safe, valuable spaces, both in person and online, for people of all paths to explore health and wellness modalities within the community! This is what I get to do through ALY (Full name “ALY: Health is Wealth”)! I co-founded this business/community with my boyfriend Oliver, and our dream is to co-create these wellness spaces together!

We currently hold several in-person donation-based Yoga classes throughout Miami Beach and plan on incorporating more nutrition/culinary-based experiences as well as other creative ways to get in touch within. We wish for all of our experiences to feel like you are openly curious and playful in your health journey, and supported by community along the way!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I wish for my heart to be so rooted in joy, and in love, that no matter the circumstance, I am happy. I am always safe. I wish for others to feel this too, with all my heart.
