Today we’d like to introduce you to Nayla and Nada Yared.
Xpand Now was founded in April 2016 by Nayla and Nada.
Nada has over 20 years of consulting experience. She served as COO of ECE Capital, an investment bank based in Lebanon and operating in the Middle East and Europe. She is an expert in the fields of financial advisory, business planning, corporate finance and market and business consulting. Nada moved to Florida in 2016 for personal reasons, a dream she has been pursuing since the early 90s after she lived in the area for 2 years.
Nayla started her professional career in Engineering, Marketing and International Business Development for a multinational company, Alcatel-Lucent, based in Paris.
After a decade in Paris, Nayla moved to the USA, where she founded, owned and managed several businesses and non-profit organizations in the art sector, and founded and co-owned an art gallery. She grew up in Lebanon and lived in Brazil, France and different states within the US.
Having built an extensive experience in multiple markets around the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and the United States, Nada and Nayla joined forces to bring their solid know-how in business consulting, financial advisory and strategic planning to businesses that aim to expand locally and internationally.
Xpand Now just signed an agreement with Xpand Group, a Canadian company with presence in Canada, the US, Latin America and Europe specialized in helping small and medium sized businesses with a full-service export assistance, from initial assessment and planning to implementation, sales and business intelligence. Xpand Now will be covering the regions of Southeast of USA as well as the Middle East.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like most startups, Xpand Now has had its share of challenges.
Our initial challenge was the discovery and the assessment of the needs of the local businesses and the definition of where Xpand Now can bring value to its customers.
Cities, Counties, State and Federal organizations offer many services to small and micro companies. We adapted our offering to provide personalized services that businesses direly need.
Another challenge was the access to our target market. In the early stages, we attended several networking events. We built solid connections but mostly with other service providers, who, just like us, were after access to business owners. We noticed that business owners do not attend these types of networking events. We had to find different ways to connect with our potential customers.
Xpand Now – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Xpand Now is a boutique consulting firm offering strategic and financial advisory to businesses. We provide assistance to clients in structuring ventures, obtaining financing, developing their activities and expanding/exporting locally and internationally. We aim to partner with our clients from an early stage to lead them to growth and success.
Our multicultural background, our international broad experience and our global network of partners set us apart. They allow us to help our clients to successfully expand by opening doors in global markets and by providing access to international sources of financing.
We are proud to offer high quality and personalized services to our clients. In contrast to larger consulting firms, who often assign junior staff to work on emerging companies’ projects, our customers will work directly with us, the partners, benefitting from our extensive experience and knowhow and our quick response time.
Our limited overhead and flexible approach allow us to offer high quality professional services cost effectively to our customers.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Our clients’ success is what defines our success. When our clients obtain the financing they need to develop their plans, or when they improve their bottom-line by optimizing their operations, expanding their offering or exporting their products successfully, then we know that our mission was successful. The relationship we build with our clients is what lead us to success. We build a partnership with businesses from an early stage and follow them up every step of the way to help them build a path to success.
