Meet Reginald Andre of ARK Solvers IT Support

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reginald Andre.

Reginald, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was working for my previous employer which was also an IT company as the Vice President, from 2002 to 2010 business was great, life was good, sales were booming! I was proud being employee number 1, I help build a company from 0 to $800,000 a year with 8 employees.

There was a change in vision from my boss and we had a fall out. At 27 years old, with a family and 3-year-old son, and only $100 in my bank account my dream started to build my own company. I started in my mom’s living room. I was living on a rice and beans budget and went back to school to hone my skills because I needed to know and understand more the technology I was selling to my customers. Also, as the CEO and Owner of the company, if a client system went down after hours or on a weekend, the client was calling my cell. I not only needed to work on my business but understand my business.

During the last 8 years of running ARK Solvers, I have given 110% of my heart, 70 to 80 hours of my time a week to it. While my competitors partied on the weekend, I was in the office sending follow-up emails, proposals, and fixing computers at the faster rate than promised.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not all days are great. I think there is a massive confusion about Entrepreneurship and what the daily task of a business owner is. Many people think business owners are the first one to get paid, can make their own schedule and sit back during the day and just bark instructions to their employees. The truth is it can be a lonely place, all the blame is on you, and in fact 95% of the small business fail. But I love the climb, and the set back is exciting. I love the obstacles, and I work harder when people tell me I can’t get it done. Entrepreneurship is about hustle and it’s not for everyone.

Another obstacle is money. Following the practices of Dave Rasmey, I have built my company debt free. That means no credit cards, line of credits, private investment or loans. That has hindered me but at the same time disciplined me in growing the company. I have never purchased something I couldn’t afford and allowing myself to not over extend in employees or growth.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with ARK Solvers IT Support – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a Managed IT Company providing computer services to business. We have over 250 business clients where we monitor their computers for viruses, provide onsite and phone support them with issues such as emails, viruses, and network issues. We also provide Wi-Fi services, work from home solutions and data backup services.

Starting in September, we will provide up to 4 hour response time for our Managed Service clients. This is something we are very proud of because our competitors have a 24 to 48 turnaround time just to get back to the client.
