Meet Marie Manalo in North Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marie Manalo.

Marie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always been a healer. I went from nursing school to medical sonography, and eventually found a career that allowed me to motivate and help others through fitness. I found great satisfaction in encouraging people and began creating beautiful relationships with clients outside of the stadium. I was often told that it was my energy and positivity that brought people back everyday to take classes. I would talk about the power of manifesting and tell my riders that there is nothing they cannot be, do, or have! This sparked The Mother Manifestor, a blog I created to help guide people to manifest their best life! Every month I spotlight someone in the community who has created something incredible from nothing and write blogs about the law of attraction.

MUSE clothing was created to put out pieces that allow every woman to feel beautiful, comfortable, and inspired. I’ve always been a shopaholic and wanted to make my own pieces that empowered others!

My son is the muse for all of my work and is the reason behind the MoMa Movement Method. MoMa Movement classes are designed to help young children find “ways to happiness” through art, dance, music, and exercise! Each class teaches children about positive thinking and ends with meditation. We are currently at the Mind Lab pre-school in North Miami and I’m hoping to bring this to all schools!

My son was recently diagnosed with speech and comprehension delays. When my best friend and I saw how expensive speech therapists and private schools are, as well as how long it took for my son to be put in the system, we were determined to help other families. Annette (founder) told me how she has always wanted to lead a non-profit to help children with learning delays and disabilities receive the resources they need to succeed. The motivator in me told her to GO FOR IT and I’d be right next to her through it all! We now raise funds for families in need of help and advocate for children at their IEP meetings. Our goal is to minimize children’s learning differences and maximize their strengths by providing the extra help they need to succeed.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There are daily challenges with all of my business ventures but they all come with great lessons and make me that much more proud when I overcome the “bumps in the road.”

The trick is to stay positive, look for the lesson, and sit in meditation to figure out what your next move should be. The Universe will always guide you. You just have to listen and ACT!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The Mother Manifestor is a blog I created to show others that the Law of Attraction is real and I interview people who have created something great every month to prove it! I also write blogs about manifesting, write daily motivational words and affirmations, sell handmade malas (for love, guidance, grounding, protection, positivity, abundance, fertility, and healing) and post about empowering women.

MUSE is my newest love- a clothing, athleisure, and swimwear line made for all women to feel beautiful, empowered, and confident.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was the social butterfly. I wanted to know everyone and had my hands in all extracurricular activities. Nothing much has changed today- I still love being around people and am somewhat of a workaholic.
