Check out Fabio Bedin’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabio Bedin.

Fabio, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Fabio Bedin, an Italian artist born in Piove di Sacco on January 9, 1973 in the province of Padua Italy.
Fabio Bedin starts from a period of training, attending various courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and glass decoration, in the art and culture centers of the province of Padua, some held by the sculptor and painter Giuseppe Lotto, a well-known professor of Padua art. Bedin continues his journey always taking advantage of his intuition, refuses to follow more convenient routes altering feelings and ideas, he believes in his spontaneity.

The author lends itself mainly to a pictorial representation as it is endowed with certain qualities which essentially consist in the irregularity of a pleasant disorder of apparently irrational shapes and colors but which contain curious sensations, from the delicacy to the great feelings of love up to the sensations of solitude.

In the works you can see very strong dynamism effects, clearly visible in his sculptures, figured by different materials combined with each other. The proportions and the abstract nature connected to his continuous experimentation capacity lead him to be distinguishable to a high artistic public, these characteristics make it clearly his “trademark”. Oil on canvas, acrylic colors mixed with enamels and quartz powders, collage, color mixing techniques with the addition of other natural chemical compounds, various tempera, ceramic, glass powders, overlapping colors that are not binding together are just some of the artist’s techniques. Bedin Fabio in his artistic / cultural career has received several awards, certificates of important participations, such as that of the “Kokusayart museum” of Tokyo, the certificate from the “Sano museum” of Shizuoka, the certificate to the “Daimaru museum” from Kyoto city and the “Factart” certificate / award as the first artist exhibited in Padua. Many times, his name has also appeared in the most important newspapers. In these years Bedin does not give up the invention, always succeeding spontaneously, with its many facets to adapt to the current artistic world with innovation and extraordinary creativity, skills that led him to be identified as: “multifaceted artist”.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My works of art are the union of different artistic techniques fused together, but since this year, ie ‘2018, I prefer to use the collage of printed paper coming from fashion magazines, comics, collectibles magazines, colored papers coming from every part of the world, small items of jewelry, they are glued meticulously on the canvas. The meaning of my artistic narration merges into the representation of contemporary man, creator of reflections, impulses, actions, interpreted through material “contaminations”: collage of carved paper, grafts of daily use together with chromatic mixtures amalgamated with natural compounds. Multi-level applications of different colors, superimposed and spread by Colle’s principal. In essence, my artistic expression is prone to the everyday life of words, sounds, images and satires that declare a consumerist reality balanced between union and solitude, reason and feeling.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
I believe that today being an artist with respect to the past is much more difficult, in the sense that art, styles and trends travel at such a high speed that the artist finds it difficult to keep up with the times. I think that art in our city is essential to create culture and cultural exchanges, both for artists and for people: “common”, and I am convinced that if companies like Hotels, restaurants, and all those commercial activities that they want to advertise themselves, they could very well sponsor the artists in exhibitions and performances and at the same time be in sight of most people, I mean: “one hand washes the other”!

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
