Meet Stacy Moya of @BestFoodMiami and @stacymoya

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Moya.

Stacy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up around a kitchen because my parents owned a cafeteria/restaurant. I learned to cook from my mom and developed my business ethics from my dad. I began working with BestFoodFeed (formerly known as MyFab5) on @BestFoodMiami in 2011 and have never looked back. One of my favorite quotes is by Julia Child; People who love to eat are the best people. I also write for Eater Miami and contribute to HuffPost. I love dogs and the Miami Dolphins. My most favorite food is pizza followed by pretty much everything else.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle being a foodie is weight gain. I try to balance that out with exercise and eating very healthy during the week so I can treat myself on the weekends. Another one is being honest because nobody likes to hear that their food isn’t tasty—however, honesty is the best policy. Besides, how can someone trust a writer if they think everything is good? Not everything is good and that’s the truth.

@BestFoodMiami and @stacymoya – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
BestFoodFeed is 100% organic. Our followers are real people that share the same love for food and drink that we do. We feature many businesses that may not have a budget for social media because the establishment is good and people should know about them. We love to bring restaurant businesses to light so others can enjoy. It’s like finding a hidden treasure.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Appearing on season thirteen of Check, Please. South Florida and The World Traveler on Foot.
