Today we’d like to introduce you to Vivian “Prema” Demille.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Casa Mannabliss is a conscious living center located at 1405 N Federal Hwy, Delray Beach, FL 33444. We are grounded in the science of yoga and meditation and have many yoga and meditation classes available daily for all ages and experience levels. However, each week, we also offer other classes such as philosophy, breath work, tai chi, sound healing, nutrition, self-help, conscious business practice, and so much more. In addition to our classes and workshops, we have an array of vetted practitioners/healers that can be booked through us for individual sessions. Not every person resonates with every path and we are aiming to bring something to everyone.
But Casa Mannabliss is more than just a place where our community can access classes and healers. We welcome you to come in and have a juice, shop in our retail establishment, play or plant something in our community garden, get to know us, and be a part of this conscious movement happening right now in Delray Beach. We are the home for our conscious community to connect with like-minded individuals for friendship, support, sharing of information and networking.
We call ourselves a conscious living center because we are dedicated to conscious living education. Conscious living for us means thoughtful living. A conscious living center educates people on how to thoughtfully care for their bodies, minds and spirits to experience true health, wellbeing, happiness, fulfillment, and peace in life. This is especially important right now, where work, life, raising children and the political, economic and social climate have become more stressful than ever.
Conscious living is also about our role in supporting each other, our community and our earth in their wellbeing. For us, a conscious living center provides practical, accessible and science-based tools that can be easily implemented and are not biased or alienating towards any particular group, religion, race, gender, culture or age.
Casa Mannabliss’ design is purposefully neutral and inviting, a white space, with just a touch of color, beauty and magic, using natural woods and a blend of new and reclaimed, which is also how we choose to teach…simply, practically, without any frills, focusing on the teaching itself rather than embellishments, and using a blend of ancient and modern science.
Casa Mannabliss’ leadership is a collective of local yoga/meditation teachers, healers and business owners with many years of experience and knowledge in our areas of expertise who have a great desire to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our community, and to be the hub for the conscious community and residents seeking conscious living practices in Delray Beach and beyond. Casa Mannabliss is designed as a co-op model, where some of the best conscious teachers in the area have come together to share their skills. In addition to the classes described , we offer our beautiful community garden, juices and snacks from Juice Buzz (our amazing local organic juice store brought to you by Jacqueline and Jessica Pfeffer), and retail by Meraki, the brainchild of Jems Scoz, owner of Zen Dali on Atlantic Avenue.
Casa Mannabliss was born of a group of conscious and spiritually driven friends who have been getting together regularly for over 3 years to share conscious living practices with one other. We found that not only did we grow tremendously as a result of sharing our valuable knowledge and experience with each other, but we also built a community of like-minded individuals who share unconditional love and support for one another. In a world where we are under pressure all of the time to perform and manage so many life and emotional tasks, we need a safe place where we can talk, let out some steam, get unconditional support and receive valuable information, education and feedback from folks with the right skills to appropriately guide us. Not only did we get all of that, but we also noticed a beautiful energy that we created when we all came together that was undeniable and powerful. We then began to ask ourselves how we could get this same community to others. We explored many options for locations before the space we currently occupy became available. Many of us have had a long history with our current location. When it became available, we felt drawn to create something beautiful, yet very different there. That is how Casa Mannabliss came to be. We opened our doors for business on July 2, 2018 and are having a great time bringing this vision into a reality.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. The biggest challenge was that our location needed so much more work than anticipated. (We had to rewire electrical system, make ADA bathrooms, replace the air conditioning, had tons outdoor repairs, and so much more!!) The project ended up costing more than anticipating and taking twice as long to open. The silver lining is an amazing landlord who gave us some concessions which helped offset some of the additional burden and a wondering general contractor who was able to get the city of Delray Beach what they needed in order for us to do our work in a timely fashion.
It’s funny that what we thought would be difficult, which was how so many diverse and strong personalities could work collaboratively together, turned out to be super easy. We found that because we are so grounded in love for one another and conscious practices, we can talk through anything from a place of love and come to good decisions easily. There is an incredible flow between us all and tons of respect. It’s actually been fun and we all feel like we have grown tremendously in doing this. We have grown in our capacity to love and trust and to create and have fun and look at leadership and business in a whole new perspective….as a place for self-actualization, play and for providing beautiful and nourishing services and products that support the body, mind and spiritual wellbeing of our patrons. It is also a place to build community and provide support to one another.
And the magic is palatable. When you walk into our space, you can feel the love and light and beauty. It is a super special experience.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Casa Mannabliss story. Tell us more about the business.
What sets us apart from others is a few things:
1. We offer a wide variety of modalities and have many amazing teachers under one roof. Most studios have one main teacher that the studio is built around. We want any great teacher to feel this could be a place for them to stop into.
2. We vet every teacher to make sure they embody our casa mannabliss standards and values. Each teacher must take our collective group through their practice and we all have to feel that the teacher has a strong foundation in their science and that they have our values and can hold the right vibration of love, compassion and desire for the wellbeing of the folks that walk into our door.
3. We are not just a yoga center. We offer many paths to connection.
4. We are a talented and very experienced group of healers. No matter the class, you are getting quality education and practice.
5. The vibration and energy of the space is designed and preserved to heal regardless of whether you take a class or not. Just sitting in our space can affect your energetic body. From sacred crystal grids, to intention settings, prayers and ceremonies, we keep our space sacred and charged and hold the right frequency to assist folks in their body/mind/soul evolution.
6. Our intention is pure and 100% to be of service to humanity. Our goal is to assist in the evolution of our planet and its people through the sharing of ancient practices and wisdom, as well as modern practices, products and services grounded in good science.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe that if you hold the right intention, with purity of heart, mind and spirit, and have a strong vision, a good plan, work hard, and take time to really understand and learn about your life, work, and self, and use your knowledge appropriately and effectively, then chance are things will work out favorably. I also believe that the external world is a reflection of our inner beliefs about ourselves and the world around us and that when we truly shift our perspective, everything on the outside begins to align with our new perspective. I also think in business and life, we need to be flexible and attentive. We need to pay attention to the pain points and ask what we need to learn from them about ourselves and others. How we can use discomfort for personal and professional growth. And when things aren’t working, we shouldn’t be afraid of letting them go and jumping into the unknown so that we can have space to create something new that does work. I could go on and on about this subject. It is what I like to teach most about…manifesting the life we desire.
