Dana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I first heard off the many benefits of CBD oils from a friend whose child had epilepsy. I began taking CBD oil for my own wellness issues. I was having nerve problems in my foot along with plantar fasciitis from fitness impact. I spoke with a few Drs. and did my own research. I found that the western medical approach was to inject steroids into an already inflamed area or do surgery. I chose to take a more natural approach to a cure. As I began exploring cannabis extracts, I found myself rather obsessed with learning more. My obsession turned into a business venture when I realized that I could help others along this path.
Today, Morcheaba produces a full line of CBD products from USDA Certified Organic Hemp Farm extracts. I pride my business on the fact that I use fourth party testing, all organic ingredients, and the desire to produce the best products possible. While I could take advantage of less costly ingredients and business directions, I will only follow my true hearts calling. My goal is to help as many people (and their beloved four legged family members) as I possibly can. I seek to separate my brand from other with innovative creations and unique products in the Morcheaba brand.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I love the contrast of my business. I think any venture worth traveling is filled with challenges. There has been a long list of hurdles and mountains to climb. Without getting specific, I believe God brings us both contrast and cross roads. Life is about choices. I have made choices that I later learned lessons from. That’s what life is about. If it was all so simple, what would fuel my fire to succeed?
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Morcheaba story. Tell us more about the business.
Morcheaba produces CBD infused Colorado hemp extract products. We formulate a full line of oil tinctures for people and pets. Our skin care line is also being very well received. I think one of the things that sets this brand apart from others is the simple fact that we see financial success as the reward of making an outstanding product that truly works! There are a lot of brands in my line of business whose only goal is cash, with little focus on the actual product. I have never been into bean counting and my brain functions in the creative realm. More important to me than financial gain is to hear someone tell me that I truly helped them. I get messages daily from people thanking me for changing their lives. When someone tells me they feel better than they have in 12 years because of my product, how could I not feel rewarded.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’m not a big believer in luck, nor coincidence. My belief system runs far deeper and larger. For me, life and business is more about being at the helm of my own journey. When my focus is on a distant land and then I arrive there one day, it was my focus and goal from the beginning. Short term goals and long term visions in a constantly emerging garden. So no, I am not a big believer in luck. I believe higher powers offer me intuition and instinctive energy.
