Today we’d like to introduce you to Yolanda Monge.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am bilingual mother, singer, minister, music teacher, entrepreneur, originally from the City of Ponce, Puerto Rico, currently serving several congregations in Spanish and English.
Recipient of the 2017 Tampa Bay Gospel Award “Spanish Artist of the Year”. CEO and President of Monge Enterprises, Inc.
Please tell us about your art.
I am a woman that went through many challenges, but today I’m living my dream of an entrepreneur, having impact on social media in both languages and ministering to women in ministry, encouraging with my message of restoration. I always speak this to everyone – “You are chosen generation, raised for such time as this”-.
We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
This is a matter to get connected, whether from a small networking event to a big convention…We are never lonely…there is an audience for everyone. Always present yourself with professionalism and treat people with dignity and respect. If a door opens walk through it, if a door is closed, go walk to the next…the right door will open for you; at the right time.
