Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Bolad.
Ali, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Level 2 nightclub is still a fairly young venue. In the summer of 2017, I joined the team to help take the venue to the next level. In the building, we are actually sandwiched between two restaurants, Buddha Garden and Buddha Skybar. It makes for quite the unique experience for guests when they come for dinner and then have the option to come down and experience the nightclub/lounge without having to venture too far or the vice versa of coming to dance and if they work up an appetite head up and grab sushi late night as well. Throughout the past year, we have brought a whole new experience to the Ave with our world-class DJs, themed events, performances, and visual effects. We want our guests to always leave with a brand new experience they won’t forget even if they are a regular visitor.
Has it been a smooth road?
The nightclub industry always has its challenges. You need to always be evolving to keep the momentum going. As saturated as this industry is in South Florida we just keep trying to put out a quality product that guests enjoy and that comes from everyone in the building, especially the staff. When they have the energy and passion flowing through them it moves into the guests and they, in turn, enjoy themselves that much more.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Level 2 Delray story. Tell us more about the business.
Level 2 is where everyone wants to end their night. We are one of the very few true nightclubs in the area, and by that I mean we are not a restaurant that then plays music late night nor a craft cocktail bar that also does that but a true 100% nightclub/lounge the moment you walk in, up to the moment you leave. We are most proud of the team that we have here, the venue is quite small so we all get to know each other very well and become a family here.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next few years, I see the industry we are in really changing to meet the new standard which is something like micro-bars. Across the globe, this has already happened and here in our country, we are just starting to join that trend. Thankfully, Level 2 already meets this standard due to our size. The mega venues are still great but there will be fewer and fewer over time.
