Today we’d like to introduce you to Raneem Abudagga.
Hi Raneem, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in content at 16, when I got my first paid photography job shooting for a food truck. What began as something I genuinely enjoyed quickly turned into a career. I continued working throughout university, graduated in less than three years, and worked my way from account management into management and senior roles, gaining hands-on experience in social media, content production, strategy and working directly with brands.
In 2023, at 22, I founded The Ran Buzz, a social media and content agency based in the UAE. I started the agency while I was still working full-time, building it client by client until I eventually left the corporate world in early 2025 to focus on it completely. Since then, The Ran Buzz has grown into a team working across social media management, content production, digital advertising and strategy, particularly with F&B, lifestyle, wellness and hospitality brands.
A big part of our approach is understanding how people actually discover and consume content today. We focus heavily on short-form video, social media as a search engine, strong concepts and content that feels native to the platform rather than traditional advertising. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with big brands and organizations alongside many growing local businesses.
At the same time, I’ve continued building my own presence as a content creator. I think that combination has shaped The Ran Buzz a lot because I understand both sides: what a brand needs strategically and what actually makes someone stop scrolling, watch and engage. Today, I’m focused on continuing to grow the agency while staying close to the creative side that made me start in the first place.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. One of the biggest challenges was building The Ran Buzz while I was still working full-time. For a period, I was managing my corporate role during the day and working on the agency at night, which meant learning very quickly how to manage my time, clients and responsibilities without compromising the quality of either.
Starting a business at 22 also came with the challenge of proving myself. I was young, but I already had years of experience behind me, so I had to learn how to communicate my value confidently, set boundaries and stop feeling like I needed to say yes to every opportunity just to grow.
As the agency expanded, the challenges changed. It became less about getting clients and more about building the right team, creating systems, managing different expectations and learning how to scale without losing the creative quality and personal involvement that made clients choose us in the first place.
Leaving the security of a corporate job to focus on The Ran Buzz full-time was also a big leap, but it pushed me to take the business more seriously and trust what I had built. Every stage has brought a different challenge, but each one has helped me become a stronger business owner and much clearer about the kind of agency I want to build.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Ran Buzz. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Ran Buzz is a UAE-based social media and content agency that helps brands build a stronger, more relevant presence online through strategy, content production, social media management and digital advertising.
What sets us apart is that we approach social media from both a strategic and creator-led perspective. We do not believe in creating content simply to fill a feed. Every piece of content should have a purpose, whether that is building awareness, creating conversation, strengthening brand identity or driving discovery. We pay close attention to how people actually use platforms today, from short-form video and TikTok-style storytelling to the growing role of social media as a search engine.
We work closely with brands across F&B, lifestyle, wellness and hospitality, creating content that feels native to the platform while still being intentional and aligned with the brand. Our work has included brands and organizations such as Visit Abu Dhabi and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, as well as many growing local businesses across the UAE.
What I am most proud of is that The Ran Buzz has grown organically from something I started myself into a team and agency trusted by brands to become an extension of their marketing department. We care deeply about the creative side, but equally about strategy, consistency and understanding the business behind the content.
At its core, The Ran Buzz is about helping brands stay culturally relevant, communicate in a way that feels human and create content people genuinely want to watch.
How do you define success?
I define success as having the freedom to build a life and career on my own terms while creating something that has real impact. For me, it is not only about revenue, titles or how big a business becomes. It is about being proud of the work I am putting into the world, seeing the people and brands I work with grow, and knowing that I built something from the ground up.
Success also means growth without losing yourself in the process. I want to keep challenging myself, building The Ran Buzz, creating opportunities for my team and taking on bigger projects, but I also want the freedom to choose what I work on, who I work with and how I spend my time.
Ultimately, I think success is being able to look back and see that each version of you created opportunities for the next one. I started with a camera at 16, and today I run my own agency. To me, being able to keep evolving while still enjoying what I do is success.
