Today we’d like to introduce you to Cleo Vo-Dai.
Hi Cleo, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been in Miami for 14 years. I wss working in PR for Cirque du Soleil at the time and I decided to land here.
In 2016 I decided to open a yoga studio as a way of contributing to the community. We opened our doors in 2017 under the Modo Yiga umbrella and created our own brand Ima Yoga 7 years later.
The community has flourished. I focus on harvesting and fostering talents and our teachers are the most incredible. Then second we focus on a loving supportive environment.
We are now working on a second and a third location. Stay tuned
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There was nothing smooth about the road to here. In 2017 when I opened after construction delays, I gave birth to my daughter the same week and this was hard. And it took us a long time to get things rolling. And then Covid happened. But then everything came together, thanks to the community.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My background is PR and now that I am a business owner, I think all of my skills are being put to use. I love networking and putting people together.
I recently accepted a position at the newly reopened Delano as their wellness consultant and we are also working on great things there.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Find your lane and stick with your authenticity. Do not try to please everyone’s your people will find you.
