Exploring Life & Business with Matthew & Dana Harvey of Home of the Harvey’s LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew & Dana Harvey.

Hi Matthew & Dana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We like to think of ourselves as the modern American family! We both left our full time corporate jobs to be full time parents and content creators. Our content is filled with our love for God, marriage, and parenting. We talk lots about our remodeled house we took on by ourselves, our love for fitness but also food, all things lifestyle fashion, and an in depth look at parenting three super different but all incredibly cute kids.

I started this blog in 2017 to document our lives for our friends and family. It has evolved into a platform to inspire and encourage others, help us to motivate and build ourselves in ways we may not otherwise have known, and connect to like minded individuals all around the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all, and honestly, that’s a big part of our story. Our journey has been filled with incredible highs, but also seasons that have tested us in ways we never expected. We’ve navigated challenges in our marriage, difficult experiences surrounding the births of our children, setbacks and growing pains in business, and some incredibly hard decisions around our careers and the direction of our family.

Each of those seasons carries its own story, stories of resilience, faith, sacrifice, growth, and ultimately choosing to keep moving forward together. There’s so much more behind what people see today, and we’d absolutely love the opportunity to unpack those experiences and share what they’ve taught us along the way.

We’ve been impressed with Home of the Harvey’s LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Home of the Harveys is a family and lifestyle brand built around one simple idea: there is purpose in sharing real life.

What started as documenting moments from our everyday lives has grown into a community centered around family, marriage, faith, parenting, travel, lifestyle, and everything that happens in between. As a husband and wife team raising three children, we invite our audience into both the beautiful moments and the imperfect ones. We want people to see a family that loves deeply, and laughs often, but also faces real challenges, and continues choosing each other through every season.

What sets Home of the Harveys apart is authenticity. We’re not interested in presenting a picture perfect version of family. We believe some of the most meaningful connections happen when people can see themselves in your story. Whether we’re sharing a funny parenting moment, navigating marriage, traveling together, talking about our faith, or simply showing what everyday life looks like in the Harvey household, our goal is for our content to feel genuine and relatable.

Over the years, that authenticity has also allowed us to build meaningful partnerships with brands that align naturally with our family and audience. We’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible companies, creating content and campaigns that allow us to tell their stories while staying true to ours. We approach partnerships from a storytelling perspective, we never want something to simply feel like an advertisement. We want it to feel like a natural extension of the community and trust we’ve built.

Brand wise, what we’re most proud of is that Home of the Harveys has become bigger than content. It represents our family’s journey and the community that has grown alongside us. Our audience has watched us experience milestones, challenges, growth, career changes, parenting seasons, marriage, and opportunities we once could have only dreamed about.

Ultimately, we want people to know that Home of the Harveys is about more than what you see on a screen. We want to use our platform to encourage people to invest in what matters most, their faith, their marriages, their families, and the relationships around them. If our family can make someone laugh, encourage them through a difficult season, inspire them to create memories with the people they love, or remind them that there is purpose even in the imperfect moments, then we believe we’re doing what Home of the Harveys was created to do.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What we love most about Port St. Lucie is the sense of community and the opportunity it provides to raise a family. It has that unique balance where the city continues to grow and develop, but you can still find genuine community and connection. From the parks and outdoor spaces to local businesses, churches, and schools, there’s a lot here that makes it feel like home. We’ve built meaningful relationships here, we’re raising our children here, and we’ve had the opportunity to watch the Treasure Coast continue to evolve around us.

If we had to choose something we like least, it would probably be some of the growing pains that come with that expansion, especially the traffic! Port St. Lucie is definitely not the quiet little city it once was. But even that is a reflection of something positive, people are discovering what many of us already know, this is a great place to live. And the commute to connect in places like Orlando, West palm beach or even Miami is only a short drive away.

More than anything, we’re excited about where the city is headed and hope that as Port St. Lucie continues to grow, we’re able to maintain the strong sense of family, community, and connection that makes this area so special.
