Today we’d like to introduce you to Xaviere Altzinger-Franklin.
Hi Xaviere, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Xaviere Altzinger, but everyone always calls me Xav and I’m the founder of 1:1 Marketing Agency, a South Florida marketing agency and community dedicated to helping women grow their businesses through marketing, networking, and meaningful connections.
I was born in China and adopted by my family in Ireland when I was just 10 months old. Growing up, I’ve always felt incredibly grateful for the opportunities I was given, and that shaped how I approach life. I’ve always believed that if you’re given an opportunity, you should make the most of it.
I grew up in Dublin, Ireland, where I discovered a love for creativity, people, and business. After earning a first class honors degree in Marketing, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: leaving everything I knew behind to move to the United States to be with my now husband. I arrived knowing very few people and had to rebuild my life, career, and community from scratch.
I worked full-time in marketing while learning a new country, building relationships, and trying to figure out where I belonged. During that time, I was looking for another job and getting nowhere. I couldn’t find the opportunities I wanted.
That realization inspired me to create 1:1 Marketing Agency.
What started as a marketing agency quickly grew into something much bigger. Today, we don’t just help businesses market themselves—we bring women together through educational workshops, networking events, and experiences that encourage collaboration over competition. My mission is to create spaces where women can learn, make genuine connections, find opportunities, and leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.
Entrepreneurship hasn’t always been easy. There have been events that didn’t go to plan, financial setbacks, and moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path. But every challenge has reinforced why I started. Success isn’t about never failing; it’s about continuing to show up, learning, adapting, and staying true to your purpose.
Looking ahead, my vision is to continue growing 1:1 Marketing Agency into a community that extends far beyond South Florida. I want to create opportunities for women to connect, learn, and support one another while helping businesses tell their stories in authentic and impactful ways.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the best opportunities often don’t come to you—you create them. That’s the philosophy that has guided every chapter of my journey, and it’s the foundation of everything I hope to build in the years ahead.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
People often see the events, the content, and the business today, but what they don’t always see is everything it took to get here.
After graduating with a degree in Marketing in Ireland, I made the difficult decision to move to the United States. Leaving my family, lifelong friends, and everything familiar behind was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Starting over in a new country meant rebuilding every part of my life from scratch. I had to create a new support system, adapt to a different culture, and prove myself professionally while also navigating the emotional reality of being thousands of miles away from home.
There were many moments where I questioned whether I’d made the right decision. I missed birthdays, family gatherings, and the comfort of home. Homesickness was something I underestimated, and there were days when it felt incredibly lonely trying to build a life that nobody else could see behind the scenes.
Professionally, the journey wasn’t straightforward either. Like many entrepreneurs, I struggled with imposter syndrome. I wondered whether people would take me seriously, whether I was experienced enough, and whether I could actually build something of my own. Starting a business means putting yourself out there every single day, knowing that not everything will succeed.
One of the biggest lessons came from my events. People often assume that a sold-out room means everything went perfectly, but that’s rarely the case. I’ve invested significant amounts of my own time, energy, and money into creating experiences for my community. Some events have exceeded my expectations, while others have cost me financially. There have been moments where I’ve questioned whether I should keep going, wondering if all the hard work was worth it.
Building a business has also meant making sacrifices that people don’t always see. There were long days balancing work, content creation, client projects, networking, and event planning. There were times when I felt burnt out, overwhelmed, and frustrated because the vision I had for my business wasn’t happening as quickly as I had hoped. And times where my poor husband was neglected.
The biggest challenge, though, has been learning not to compare my journey to anyone else’s. Social media has a way of making everyone else’s success look effortless, while you’re living every difficult moment behind your own scenes. I’ve had to remind myself that progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes success looks like simply showing up again after a setback.
Those experiences have shaped the way I lead 1:1 Marketing Agency today. My goal has never been to create a community that only celebrates success. I want it to be a place where women feel comfortable talking about the challenges too—the failed launches, the financial stress, the self-doubt, and the uncertainty—because those moments are just as much a part of entrepreneurship as the wins.
Looking back, every struggle has reinforced one belief: you don’t have to have everything figured out to move forward. You simply have to keep taking the next step. That’s the mindset that carried me from Ireland to the United States, gave me the confidence to start my own business, and continues to inspire me every day as I work to build a community where women know they don’t have to do it alone.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
1:1 Marketing Agency is more than a marketing agency—it’s a community built on the belief that the best opportunities come from genuine connections.
I founded 1:1 Marketing Agency to help businesses grow through strategic marketing, content creation, branding, and social media, but it has evolved into something much bigger. Alongside working with clients, we host networking events, educational workshops, and community experiences that bring together women entrepreneurs, creators, professionals, and aspiring business owners across South Florida.
What sets us apart is that we don’t just focus on helping businesses get more followers—we focus on helping people build real relationships. Whether someone attends one of our networking events, books a content session, or works with us on their marketing strategy, our goal is for them to leave with more confidence, more clarity, and meaningful connections that continue long after the event ends.
Our services include social media management, content creation, branding, event marketing, strategy consultations, photography and video content, and business workshops designed to give entrepreneurs practical tools they can immediately implement.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built in such a short time. Seeing women walk into an event knowing no one and leave with new friends, collaborations, clients, or simply the confidence to keep pursuing their goals reminds me why I started this business. Watching connections turn into partnerships, referrals, and genuine friendships is incredibly rewarding.
As a business owner, I believe marketing should feel authentic. It’s not about chasing trends or trying to go viral—it’s about telling your story, building trust, and creating genuine relationships with your audience.
Looking ahead, my vision is to continue growing 1:1 Marketing Agency into a destination where women can come not only for marketing support but for education, collaboration, and community. I want people to know that when they work with us or attend one of our events, they’re joining something much bigger than a single workshop or service. They’re becoming part of a network of women who genuinely want to see one another succeed.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
One of the things I love most about South Florida is the people. There’s an incredible entrepreneurial spirit here, and it’s a place where people are genuinely open to meeting new people, collaborating, and supporting local businesses. The diversity of cultures, the year-round sunshine, and the variety of events make it an inspiring place to build a business and a community. As someone who moved here from Ireland, I also appreciate how many people have their own “starting over” story, which makes it easier to connect with others.
If I had to choose one challenge, it would be how spread out everything is. Building community can be difficult when people are commuting from different cities like Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and West Palm Beach. It takes more intention to bring people together consistently. That challenge is actually one of the reasons I started hosting networking events—to create spaces where people can meet face-to-face and build meaningful relationships despite the distance.
Overall, South Florida has given me opportunities I never imagined, and I’m grateful to call it home. While no city is perfect, I believe the people and the sense of possibility here make it an exciting place to live, work, and grow a business.
