Check Out Atravia Hill’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Atravia Hill.

Hi Atravia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been working since I was 15 years old. My first job was in a nursing home, where I assisted senior citizens with exercising and played games with them to help them have fun and stay engaged.
Since that first job, I have always maintained employment, knowing deep down that I wanted to become an entrepreneur so I could have more control over my own time. During the pandemic in 2020, I began exploring multiple business ventures, from selling human hair wigs and accessories online—turning it into my first LLC—to starting an electronics resale business offering products ranging from household appliances to baby strollers and even cell phones. Both businesses showed me what I was capable of as I learned through trial and error how to successfully operate a business, especially while being the only employee.
Although those business ventures generated income and taught me valuable lessons, I was not truly fulfilled by them. My passion for them eventually faded, so I shut down both operations. I realized that the two things that consistently remained throughout those experiences were my passion for herbalism and my dream of becoming a bestselling author.
Those realizations led me to begin writing a memoir while also taking my self-taught herbalism skills even further. In 2024, I earned my herbalism certification online, which gave birth to my herbal tea business, Mystical Tra Hillz.
In the years leading up to becoming certified, I had already introduced my family and friends to herbs and their many benefits for addressing various health concerns. Once they experienced the positive impact the herbs had on challenges ranging from blood sugar issues and high blood pressure to certain vision issues, they encouraged me to share my gifts with the world—and that’s exactly what I did.
I stepped out of my shell and began creating content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and, more recently, YouTube. Today, my herbal tea business is thriving and has reached customers around the world, including the United Kingdom, all from sunny South Florida.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was not a smooth road. Some of the biggest struggles along the way came from balancing everything on my plate. Of course, I maintained full-time employment, which is a balancing act in itself. On top of that, I am a mother to two amazing boys, so I was constantly dividing my time between my job, creating content, developing products, continuing my herbal studies, managing the behind-the-scenes operations of my business, and showing up for both of my boys at their sporting events and extracurricular activities.

Trying to do everything on my own was, without a doubt, my greatest challenge. After experiencing multiple episodes of burnout, I realized that while I can do all things, I can’t do them all by myself if I want to show up healthy, present, and vibrant. I needed to relinquish some control and ask for help so things could run more smoothly—not only for my business, but also so I could continue being the hands-on mother I want to be.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have a restaurant background, starting as a line cook and working my way up to restaurant manager, so I was accustomed to using herbs as seasonings long before I began using them as medicine.
I am known for being a dedicated researcher who enjoys studying and analyzing. I specialize in researching herbs and pairing them with complementary herbs that work together to support a common wellness goal.

I am most proud of my herbal teas and of becoming more open about sharing them with my followers and anyone who has questions and genuinely wants to learn and apply their newfound knowledge.

What sets me apart is that I am self-taught, and I take great pleasure in helping people. It brings me joy to nourish others with both herbal knowledge and good food.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can support me by following my social media handle ‘Mystical Tra Hillz on all platforms and share my page and content with their loved ones that can benefit from herbs. If there is an angel investor out there they can contact me at Mysticaltrahillz@gmail.com. All support is greatly appreciated.
