Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaela Genovese.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started at the ripe age of 3 yo. I was a little fashionista and loved dressing up in my moms high-heels, my grandmothers oversized sunnies, and my great-grandmothers pearls….it was a family fashion affair. I knew I was destined for the fashion industry. I started on Worth Avenue when I was 15 yo and worked very hard and experienced many pillars of the fashion industry such as: shoes, jewelry, apparel, interiors, and realized my heart was all in for the jewelry industry. I believe jewelry is that one thing that sets you apart from the rest and makes an outfit complete. I took the leap of faith and started my brand, La Enovesè Designs in 2018. One thing lead to the next, and now my brand is 8 years old. I am proud to be based out of Wellington and Palm Beach, Florida in the Winter months and The Hamptons in the Summer months.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
If it were easy, everyone would be doing it! These past 8 years have come with a ton of triumphs as well as set backs. As an entrepreneur you choose to shift your mindset and dive head first into any challenge and figure out the best solution. For example, my second year in business was covid and my collection was very behind and I was having a launch party and needed immediates. That lead to having to reach out to another manufacturer for charms and we become Palm Beach’s first Charm Bar.
