Community Highlights: Meet Nestor Correa of Nestorvisions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nestor Correa.

Hi Nestor, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a producer and fashion photographer based in Central Florida, and for more than 25 years I’ve had the privilege of building a career around storytelling through both photography and motion. Before relocating to Florida in 2024, I spent over 14 years in New York City, where I immersed myself in the fashion industry, collaborating with modeling agencies, creative teams, designers, and national brands on editorial and commercial projects.

Photography has never felt like a job to me—it’s always been my passion. Every time I pick up a camera, I’m still chasing that feeling of creating something meaningful. Whether I’m photographing a fashion editorial, a brand campaign, a bridal story, or a portrait, my goal is to create images that are honest, timeless, and emotionally engaging. I want every photograph to tell a story and reveal something authentic about the person in front of the lens.

My background in broadcast television and video production has had a tremendous influence on the way I approach photography. I naturally think in terms of light, composition, movement, and narrative, which allows me to create images with a cinematic quality while still keeping the subject at the heart of the story.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with a wide range of clients and creative professionals, travel to incredible locations, and contribute to numerous editorial publications. Every project has taught me something new, and I continue to look for opportunities that challenge me creatively and help me grow as an artist.

Relocating to Florida has given me the chance to begin a new chapter. I’m excited to build relationships with agencies, brands, designers, and fellow creatives while continuing to produce work that pushes my creativity forward. After all these years, I still believe the best photograph is the one I haven’t taken yet.

For me, photography has always been about more than creating beautiful images. It’s about earning someone’s trust, capturing genuine moments, and bringing ideas—and sometimes dreams—to life through the lens.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My career has taken a number of unexpected turns, but every one of them has shaped me into the creative professional I am today. I actually started in photography, shooting model portfolios on film long before digital cameras existed. Not long after, I was offered an opportunity to work in television in New York—an opportunity that was simply too good to pass up.

That decision led me through an incredible career in broadcast, working with networks including Telemundo, Univision, NBC, and Fox Sports. Television taught me discipline, storytelling, and the importance of working under pressure. It also gave me the opportunity to collaborate with some incredibly talented people who challenged me to constantly raise my standards.

After many years in television, I accepted a position with the internal creative agency at Mercedes-Benz in New Jersey. Looking back, that was one of the most rewarding chapters of my career. I had the chance to work alongside longtime friends and an exceptional team of designers, producers, and creatives. Around that time, photography was undergoing its digital revolution, and I found myself falling in love with it all over again. The transition from film to digital opened up an entirely new world of creative possibilities and allowed me to work faster while experimenting more freely.

Eventually, I began freelancing for several New York advertising agencies, including Ogilvy, McCann, and Edelman. Working in the agency world exposed me to fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands, and naturally pulled me back toward photography. I started building relationships with designers, modeling agencies, stylists, and makeup artists, which led to photographing fashion shows, editorial test shoots, and campaigns for boutique designers. Those experiences reignited the passion that had first inspired me to pick up a camera years earlier.

Today, I bring together everything I’ve learned throughout my career. My background in broadcast television gives me a cinematic approach to photography, while my years as a photographer influence the way I produce video. Rather than seeing them as separate disciplines, I’ve always believed they complement one another. Being able to offer both photography and motion allows me to tell richer, more complete stories for fashion brands, designers, and commercial clients.

For me, every step of the journey—from film photography, to television, to advertising, and back to fashion—has been part of the same story. Each experience has added another layer to the way I see the world through a lens.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Nestorvisions was built on the belief that every brand, person, and product has a story worth telling. While many people know me as a fashion photographer, my background extends far beyond photography. I’ve spent more than 25 years working in broadcast television, commercial production, advertising, and fashion, collaborating with companies such as NBC, Fox Sports, Mercedes-Benz, and leading New York advertising agencies. That diverse experience has shaped the way I approach every project today.

I specialize in creating editorial-quality photography and cinematic video for fashion brands, businesses, and professionals who want more than beautiful images—they want visuals that connect with people and elevate their brand. Whether it’s a fashion campaign, a commercial, a corporate brand film, or a portrait session, I approach every assignment with the same mindset: tell a compelling story that feels authentic and memorable.

What I believe sets me apart is that I don’t see photography and video as separate services. I see them as complementary ways of telling the same story. My years in television taught me pacing, lighting, composition, and narrative, while my photography background taught me to recognize emotion and capture the decisive moment. When those two worlds come together, clients receive content that feels cohesive, cinematic, and intentional.

I’m also proud of the relationships I’ve built throughout my career. Many of my best projects have been the result of long-term collaborations with creative directors, designers, stylists, makeup artists, agencies, and marketing teams. Great work is never created alone, and I’ve always believed that the strongest ideas come from talented people working together.

If there’s one thing I hope readers take away about my brand, it’s that I’m not interested in creating ordinary content. I want every project to have purpose. Whether I’m working with an international brand, a startup, a model building a portfolio, or a small business trying to grow, I bring the same level of creativity, professionalism, and passion to every shoot. My goal is simple: create images and films that not only look beautiful today but continue to tell a story years from now.

How do you define success?
Success, to me, has never been measured by the size of the client or the number of projects I’ve completed. It’s measured by the relationships I build along the way.

Every opportunity in my career has come from genuine human connections. Whether I’m collaborating with an aspiring model, an independent designer, or a global brand like Mercedes-Benz or Wella, the process always begins the same way—with a conversation. I believe the best creative work comes from understanding people first, not simply following a creative brief or a brand manual.

When I take the time to listen, I gain insight into what a client is truly trying to communicate. Those conversations often lead to ideas that neither of us would have discovered on our own. That’s where creativity thrives, and that’s where trust is built.

To me, success is creating work that not only delivers results but also builds lasting relationships. Many of my clients have become longtime collaborators and friends, and I consider that one of the greatest achievements of my career. If people leave a project feeling understood, inspired, and excited to work together again, then I know I’ve been successful.
