Today we’d like to introduce you to Ilana Mechoullam.
Hi Ilana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began my academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University, where I built a strong foundation in clinical care and patient-centered practice. I later went on to earn my Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University, which further strengthened my medical training and advanced clinical knowledge.
I started gaining hands-on experience in aesthetics and surgical support at just 19 years old, working under a plastic surgeon in New York City. That early exposure to high-level surgical aesthetics shaped my understanding of facial anatomy, precision, and the importance of subtle, balanced results.
From there, I transitioned into aesthetic medicine, where I combined my formal nursing education with my passion for injectables and non-surgical facial enhancement.
In 2017, I founded Peace Love Med with the goal of creating a patient-centered aesthetic practice focused on natural results and personalized care. What started as a 700-square-foot studio into a 6 provider practice in two locations. That growth has been made possible by an incredible team of practitioners who share the same commitment to excellence, artistry, and patient experience.
My career has been shaped by a blend of strong academic training, early surgical experience, and a continued focus on thoughtful, patient-centered aesthetic care.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge has helped me grow both personally and professionally. One of the biggest learning curves has been understanding how to run a business. Being skilled at your craft is one thing; building and managing a successful company is something entirely different.
I’ve had to learn how to lead a team, make difficult decisions, and become more than just a provider. Leadership, communication, and business strategy are all skills I’ve had to continuously develop along the way. I still consider myself a student of business and am always looking for ways to improve.
Like many businesses, COVID was a major challenge that required quick adaptation, resilience, and a lot of uncertainty in how to move forward while prioritizing both patients and staff.
Another ongoing challenge has been finding the right team with the right skill set—people who not only bring clinical excellence but also align with the culture and values of the practice. Building that kind of team takes time, intention, and constant refinement.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Peace Love Med Aesthetic Rejuvenation?
Peace Love Med is a high-end aesthetic medicine practice specializing in facial balancing and natural-looking results. Our focus is on enhancing each patient’s features in a way that feels subtle, refined, and aligned with their natural beauty.
We are known for delivering consistently natural outcomes and for taking a conservative, thoughtful approach to aesthetics. Not every patient who walks through our doors receives treatment—we are intentional about saying no when something is not in the patient’s best interest. That standard is a core part of our philosophy and something we take pride in.
What sets us apart is our commitment to artistry, safety, and integrity. Every treatment plan is highly personalized, and we prioritize long-term harmony over trends or overcorrection. We stand behind our work and the results we create, and our reputation has been built on trust, consistency, and beautiful, natural outcomes.
At Peace Love Med, our goal is simple: help people look like the best version of themselves, never overdone, always balanced, and always intentional.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is doing the right thing and always prioritizing patient safety and integrity in everything we do.
At the end of the day, my goal is never just about results—it’s about trust, safety, and making sure people are never overtreated or harmed in the process. That principle guides every decision I make.
