Hi Annmarie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was raised by my immigrant grandmother, who introduced me to the healing power of natural remedies. Whether it was herbal teas, tinctures, or medicinal baths, wellness was woven into everyday life. Those early experiences planted the seeds for what would later become my life’s work.
Years later, after becoming a mother, I found myself reflecting on the women who came before me. Seeing my daughter felt like looking into a mirror of my ancestry and legacy. Inspired by that connection, I began creating natural skincare and feminine wellness products designed to support women in a holistic way.
As the products gained traction and helped address a need in the industry, I discovered a deeper purpose in serving women through wellness. Then, shortly after the pandemic began, I took a leap of faith and opened PH PhreshBox Holistic Spa.
Today, PH PhreshBox is more than a spa. It is a reflection of my heritage, my passion for natural wellness, and my commitment to helping women feel confident, balanced, and cared for. Every product, service, and experience is rooted in the belief that wellness should be both empowering and accessible.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. I started with a passion for science, wellness, and creating products that genuinely help women. As the business grew, I had to learn how to manage finances, navigate legal requirements, and lead a company while still being a mother and balancing everyday life.
The journey has been challenging, but every obstacle has helped me grow. What started as a passion project has become something much bigger than me. Today, it is a community built on wellness, empowerment, and service.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a licensed cosmetologist who specializes in holistic waxing. To me, waxing is an art, and I am passionate about the precision, care, and attention to detail that go into providing an exceptional experience for every client.
I am also known for creating PHreshBox No Bubbles Needed Feminine Wash, a patented non lathering cleanser formulated for all skin types. More than a cleanser, it was designed to help women maintain healthy pH balance while supporting skin moisture and overall feminine wellness.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
I am not usually the person giving advice, but if I could share one thing, it would be this: do not be afraid of your dreams. Do not shrink your vision because of your current circumstances.
Some of the greatest accomplishments begin as ideas that seem impossible. Stay consistent, trust the process, and keep taking the next step forward. Your reality today does not determine what is possible for your future.
