Hi I’m Andrea Martinez proud Venezuelan
International Makeup Artist , Owner of Andrea Martinez Cosmetics and L’ Atelier Agency.
Proud Immigrant in the USA from 12 years now,
My journey has been shaped by curiosity, hard work, and a willingness to keep learning. I started by taking on opportunities that challenged me, even when they were outside my comfort zone. Along the way, I gained valuable experience, built meaningful relationships, and developed skills through both successes and setbacks.
Each step has helped me grow professionally and personally, teaching me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and continuous improvement. Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I’m even more excited about what lies ahead. I see every new opportunity as a chance to learn, contribute, and make a positive impact while continuing to grow.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Hasn’t always been a smooth road, but every challenge has taught me something valuable. Like many people, I’ve faced moments of uncertainty, setbacks, and obstacles that tested my patience and resilience. There were times when I had to adapt to new situations, learn new skills, and step outside my comfort zone.
Instead of letting those experiences discourage me, I chose to see them as opportunities to grow. They helped me become more resilient, confident, and determined. Looking back, I’m grateful for those challenges because they shaped my character, strengthened my work ethic, and prepared me for new opportunities. Today, I approach challenges with a positive mindset, knowing they are often the greatest opportunities for growth.

I’m a professional makeup artist with more than 10 years of experience in the beauty industry, and I truly love what I do. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible clients and global luxury brands, including DIOR, where I’ve proudly served as an international makeup artist across the Americas for the past four years.
My passion goes beyond creating beautiful makeup looks—I’m committed to helping people feel confident and bringing creative visions to life. I specialize in luxury beauty, editorial, fashion, and high-end client experiences, and I’m known for my attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to connect with people from all backgrounds.
One of my proudest achievements is launching my own agency, L’Atelier, where I’m building a talented team of freelance artists who share my passion for excellence and creativity. It’s incredibly rewarding to mentor other artists and create opportunities for them to grow in the industry.
Another milestone I’m especially excited about is the upcoming launch of Andrea Martinez Cosmetics, my own makeup line. This collection reflects years of experience, research, and love for beauty, and I can’t wait to share products that inspire confidence and help others express themselves.
What sets me apart is that I approach every project with passion, dedication, and authenticity. I believe makeup is more than a profession—it’s a way to empower people, celebrate individuality, and create meaningful experiences. Even after more than a decade in the industry, I’m still learning, evolving, and excited about what’s next.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe luck has played a role in my journey, but I also believe that preparation, consistency, and hard work create the opportunities where luck can happen.
I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible clients like DIOR and to travel across the Americas as an international makeup artist. Those opportunities didn’t happen overnight—they came from years of dedication, continuously improving my craft, building strong relationships, and always giving my best.
Of course, there have also been difficult moments. The beauty industry is highly competitive, and building a business requires resilience, patience, and the courage to take risks. Every challenge taught me something valuable and pushed me to grow both professionally and personally.
Today, as I build L’Atelier and prepare to launch Andrea Martinez Cosmetics, I feel grateful for every opportunity, every lesson, and every person who has believed in me. I see luck as being ready when the right opportunity comes along—and making the most of it with passion, integrity, and hard work.
