Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Ferguson.
Hi Kyle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always been drawn to storytelling and the power of film to connect people through emotion, culture and experiences. The thought of Jiggy Productions started when I was working in Baltimore and I just graduated college with a bachelors degree in Media Production. Many nights were spent watching tutorials, studying the industry, and saving piece by piece to invest in the equipment and skills needed to build a professional production company. Each project taught me something new and helped shaped my vision for what I wanted to build. Fast forward to when my wife and I moved back home to the Bahamas and I began Jiggy Productions (my film company) in the Bahamas. My goal was and is always to create a company that delivers high quality work while bringing creativity and authenticity to every production. Over the years, God has opened so many doors, we have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with talented individuals, and continue to grow our presence in the industry. Looking back over the past decade, I am grateful for every opportunity, every lesson and every person who has been a part of this journey. I am excited to continue building, and creating in the years ahead.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t believe any business journey has a smooth road ahead of them. Facing the challenges and trials that come along are what help you grow and become stronger. It brings an opportunity to learn and adapt. In fact, one of the first major obstacles came at the very beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. On my wedding day my equipment and computer and hard drives got stolen. As a young filmmaker just getting started, it was a devastating loss. Looking back that experience taught me resilience. I had a choice to either become discouraged or keep moving forward. Another significant challenge came when my wife and I had to move back to the Bahamas much sooner than we anticipated. The transition forced me to make a decision earlier than expected about whether I was going to pursue Jiggy Productions full-time or take a more traditional path. While it was a difficult and uncertain season, it pushed me to step out in faith, make the cold calls, put myself out there, and fully commit to building the business. Throughout the years, there have been other challenges, long hours, financial pressures, balancing growth with quality, and navigating the uncertainty that comes with running a creative business. Today, I see those challenges as an important part of the journey. They helped shaped both the company and me as a person.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

We approach every project with the same level of passion and attention to detail. Our commitment to excellence, integrity and faith has been the foundation of our company from day one.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I don’t consider myself someone who takes reckless risks, but I do believe that growth often requires stepping into some uncertainty when you believe in the vision and are willing to put in the work.
One of the biggest risks I ever took was starting a production company in The Bahamas at a time when the industry looked very different than it does today. There wasn’t a clear blueprint to follow, and I knew there would be challenges in building a business centered around high-end film production. Even so, I believed there was an opportunity to create something valuable and fill a growing need in the market.
Another risk came early on when I invested in a professional cinema camera. At the time, it was a significant financial commitment, and there was no guarantee that the investment would pay for itself. However, I knew that if I wanted to to produce work at the level I envisioned, I had to be willing to take the risk. Looking back, that decision helped elevate the quality of work and open doors to opportunities that may not have existed.
I also faced another important decision when the opportunity arose to take over the full studio space we were partially renting. It meant taking on greater responsibilty and overhead costs, but it also represented the next stage of growth for the company. After careful consideration, I decided to move forward, and it has allowed us to better serve our clients and continue building for the future. Throughout each experience, I’ve learnt that successful risk taking isnt about having all the answers. It’s about learning, trusting your instincts, leaning on faith and being willing to move forward even when you don’t know the outcome.
