Meet Macarena Delvalle of Miami / South Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Macarena Delvalle.

Macarena, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story began in the furniture and interior design world when I was only 20 years old.

What started as a job quickly became a passion and career. I fell in love with the way a space can change how people feel, how furniture can tell a story, and how design can turn a house into a home. Over the years, I had the opportunity to learn every side of the business, from working closely with clients and designers to understanding sales, sourcing, merchandising, showroom operations, and the importance of creating a true experience around design.

After many years in the luxury furniture industry, I felt ready to build something of my own. That is how Matho Home was born.

Matho Home was created as an interior design and furniture platform with one clear purpose: to make beautiful, curated spaces feel more accessible, personal, and inspiring. I wanted to build a company that was not only about selling furniture, but about helping people bring a complete vision to life, with guidance, creativity, and pieces that feel intentional.

Another important chapter in this journey is LM Design Haus, a separate company I created with my partner. Together, we built LM Design Haus as a one-stop-shop showroom in Midtown Miami, created for clients, designers, and homeowners who want a more complete and creative way to design a space.

LM Design Haus brings together furniture, art, wallpaper, rugs, doors, custom pieces, and interior design services under one roof. It is a curated showroom where people can see real pieces, feel textures, explore finishes, and connect with a design team that can help bring their vision to life.

Opening Matho Home and LM Design Haus has been one of the most exciting and challenging chapters of my life. It represents years of experience, hard work, relationships, lessons, and the courage to begin again with a bigger vision.

Today, my goal is to continue building brands that inspire people, support designers, and offer clients a more complete, creative, and personal way to design their homes.

This is only the beginning.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has not always been smooth. One of the greatest challenges was stepping away from previous roles and leaving behind team members, clients, and colleagues with whom I had built strong and meaningful relationships.

Starting something of my own came with uncertainty, pressure, and a deep sense of responsibility. Building Matho Home and contributing to the creation of LM Design Haus required courage, persistence, hard work, and the ability to build the right partnerships.

I have been fortunate to receive support from Oliver Gal, Amalia Home, Caracole, Ethnicraft, Eichholtz, Mil Puertas, and other incredible brands that believed in the vision. Their support helped bring together art, furniture, textiles, doors, and a more complete design experience within the showroom and online, making this chapter possible.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Rich Dad Poor Dad is one of my favorite books because it changed the way I think about money, ownership, and entrepreneurship. It pushed me to think beyond a traditional career and focus more on building something of my own.

I’m also inspired by books and podcasts about business, branding, personal growth, and creativity. I love learning from people who have built companies from the ground up, especially those who combine vision, discipline, and strong storytelling.
