Today we’d like to introduce you to Ally Saenz.
Hi Ally, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started with building my portfolio, collaborating with photographers from Orlando, Tampa, and Miami. During my first year of modeling, I walked my first runway show at Miami Swim Week. I remember feeling incredibly nervous and almost undeserving of the opportunity, but once I stepped off the runway, I felt liberated. For the first time, I felt fully present in myself. That experience changed something in me. Modeling helped me grow into someone more confident and sure of herself. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to keep pursuing this.
Eventually, I reached a point where I no longer felt like I was constantly chasing opportunities. Opportunities started finding me. I had photographers interested in working with me, and doors began opening that once felt out of reach. Even though I’ve only been modeling for a little over a year, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for where I’m headed next. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone I’ve met along this journey, and I look forward to continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The beginning of my modeling career wasn’t easy and definitely didn’t start the way I imagined. I was very naive, vulnerable, and I didn’t know what I was doing. I didn’t have much guidance or direction, and at times I felt completely lost.
As time went on, I started gaining confidence and developing a stronger sense of self. I learned how to portray emotion through expression, movement, and posing, and I began to see modeling for what it truly was — a form of art and self-expression.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a freelance model. I love high fashion and creative expression. I love being part of shoots that feel artistic and meaningful, and I’m always open to exploring different concepts and styles rather than staying in one lane.
What sets me apart is my passion not only for the work itself, but for the people I work with. I enjoy connecting, collaborating, and bringing creative ideas to life as a team.
Before modeling, I worked as a cosmetologist for seven years, which deepened my appreciation for beauty and self-expression. Creativity has always been a part of me, from beauty pageants as a child to my love for fashion and performance.
My long-term goal is to continue building a career doing what I truly love while growing creatively and professionally.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I love watching YouTube videos to help educate me in anything I am interested in learning more about! Especially posing, walking videos for modeling. It’s so helpful.
