Meet Tanya Patron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Patron.

Tanya, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been injecting for 17 years, and like most things worth creating, Liftie was born out of necessity.

In 2018 I was teaching a nose filler workshop and I was struggling to get attendees to aspirate properly and with a smooth technique before injecting filler into their model patients. In such a high risk area, skipping aspiration can lead to devastating complications like blindness or necrosis and something that I take very seriously as an injector and more importantly as an educator. I left that day feeling like I had let down the attendees by assuming they would be able to easily aspirate, and not just in a nose, but all areas of the face. I knew there had to be a better solution. So I went home and designed a prototype.

Within a year the design was ready for manufacturing at a medical-grade facility right here in the United States. I even flew up personally before production began to work directly with their engineers and ensure we were using the highest quality materials available. I had a very clear vision. I wanted Liftie to be disposable, soft, secure, and completely universal. Something every injector could use on every brand of filler, every syringe size, every single time.

The patent came in April 2021 and we have been selling to injectors worldwide ever since. Our community at @liftie_aspirator has grown beautifully and our ultimate vision is to see Liftie become a standard accessory tool that comes with every filler syringe sold, because aspiration should never be optional.

Our motto is simple: Why deal with a complication when you can prevent one?

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly? It has been a remarkably smooth road, and I say that with complete gratitude.

I launched Liftie at conferences like Aesthetic Record and Aesthetic Extender Symposium and the response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic from day one. Injectors were able to touch and feel the softness of the design and practice right at our exhibit booth. Me and my team were the only ones actually selling from start to finish throughout the day with crowds gathered around our booth. There is something powerful about putting a product directly in someone’s hands. They felt the difference immediately.

My approach was intentional. Iwanted direct contact with real injectors rather than heavy online marketing. I knew we had an amazing product and had tried to anticipate every obstacle in our design before it ever reached the national or global market. But were we really thinking of everything?

It turns out, no. But not in the way you might expect.

The surprises weren’t problems. They were discoveries. Injectors started telling us they were using Liftie for sclerotherapy treatments to confirm vessel placement. Others were using it on syringes as large as 20cc for body treatments; far beyond our original design intent. And perhaps most touching of all, several injectors who have been injecting since fillers first hit the market told us they were using Liftie for joint support due to arthritis.

I had created a tool for aspiration and injectors found even more reasons to love it than we ever imagined.
That’s when I knew it was time to file for a patent and get Liftie Aspirators into as many hands as possible.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a nationally certified Physician Assistant with a Master’s in Clinical Medical Science from Barry University, and I own my practice Selfie Aesthetic in Miami, Florida. But if you ask me what truly defines my work as an injector, the answer is simple – the nose.

I have been injecting noses for over 12 years and it remains my favorite area to this day. Non-surgical nose reshaping delivers incredibly natural results and offers patients a meaningful and affordable alternative to surgery, especially for those who aren’t quite ready to commit to a surgical outcome. The results speak for themselves.

But my journey with nose injections goes far deeper than aesthetics. When I first began injecting noses over a decade ago, the technique was not widely practiced and aspiration itself was still controversial. There was ongoing debate in the industry about whether aspiration was truly effective, or whether it could produce false positives or negatives. I had my own questions too. But I knew one thing with certainty; even if the science was still being debated, aspiration could still potentially save a patient from a devastating vascular occlusion. So I kept doing it.

The problem wasn’t whether to aspirate. The problem was how.

What I kept witnessing in my own practice and later in the workshops I was teaching, was instability. Injectors were aspirating, but their technique was compromised by the needle bobbing back and forth, by fumbling fingers, switching hands, and by the lack of a secure and controlled motion. A compromised aspiration is almost as dangerous as no aspiration at all.

That realization became my obsession. I needed a tool that didn’t just help injectors aspirate. I needed a tool that created stable aspiration. Something that secured the needle placement and allowed the injector to move only one finger, the thumb, in a single, secure, controlled motion with the head of the plunger. Moving in complete tandem. No wiggle. No fumble. No alteration of the aspiration whatsoever.

That tool became Liftie Aspirator, the world’s first patented disposable aspirating tool. And it started with a nose.

Any big plans?
The future is both exciting and deeply personal for me.

For Liftie Aspirator, my ultimate goal is acquisition. I am hoping to gain the attention of one of the major dermal filler companies (Allergan, Galderma, or Evolus) because I truly believe Liftie belongs alongside their products. Not as an afterthought, but as a standard safety accessory included with every filler order.

Think about it. These companies regularly partner with other brands for promotions such as sunglasses, coffee machines, cannulas, clothing. Why not a tool that provides additional safety and stability to the actual product they are selling? Liftie is not just a promotional item. It is a clinical tool that makes their filler safer to inject. That is a partnership that makes complete sense for the companies, for the injectors, and most importantly for the patients.

I say this with full transparency. I can no longer do Liftie Aspirator the justice it deserves on my own. I am a Physician Assistant. I own and run Selfie Aesthetic in Miami. I teach through Injector Masterclass. My hands and heart are full. Liftie has grown beyond what one person can champion alone and it deserves the global platform that one of these major brands could provide.

The vision has always been simple, aspiration should never be optional. And one day I hope every injector who opens a box of Juvederm, Restylane, or Evolus filler finds a Liftie Aspirator waiting inside.

Again. Why deal with a complication when you can prevent one?
