Rising Stars: Meet Fabio Morant of Miami / South Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabio Morant.

Hi Fabio, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been defined by creativity, resilience, and a passion for continuous learning. I began my career more than 30 years ago in the beauty industry as a hairstylist and makeup artist. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of working on prestigious projects and events as the primary make-up Artist and Hair stylist, including Miss Universe, film productions, Miami Fashion Week, and projects for Nickelodeon. These experiences allowed me to collaborate with talented professionals from around the world and develop a deep appreciation for excellence, teamwork, and creativity.
Over time, I opened and managed my own salon in Miami, where I spent many years helping clients feel confident and beautiful. My career was thriving when, in 2017, I underwent brain surgery that changed my life and presented me with significant physical challenges. The recovery process taught me perseverance, patience, and the importance of maintaining a positive mindset.
Rather than allowing those challenges to define me, I embraced the opportunity to reinvent myself. I expanded my experience into customer service, hospitality, and front desk management, where I discovered how much I enjoy helping people and creating positive experiences.
Today, I remain committed to personal and professional growth. In addition to seeking new opportunities, I am actively studying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies because I believe learning should never stop. I am excited about combining my decades of experience working with people with the possibilities that technology offers for the future.
Looking back, every chapter of my life—from beauty and entertainment to hospitality and now AI—has been guided by curiosity, adaptability, and a genuine desire to keep growing and contributing.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think about how, in past centuries, many people lived only 30 or 40 years. I have been fortunate to experience what feels like multiple lifetimes within one life. The first was building my career and pursuing my creative passions. The second began when unexpected health challenges forced me to reinvent myself physically, mentally, and professionally. Today, I feel I am entering a third chapter—one guided by experience, wisdom, and a desire to keep learning.
Rather than seeing age as a limitation, I see it as an advantage. Every stage of life has given me new skills, new perspectives, and new opportunities to grow. In some ways, I admire people like Madonna, who continuously reinvent themselves and remain curious, relevant, and engaged with the world. That same spirit of reinvention has inspired my own journey. Road has not always been easy. Along the way, I faced challenges that required me to adapt, grow, and keep moving forward. As a Latino in the United States, I had to overcome language barriers and learn to communicate effectively in a second language. Later in life, I learned that age can sometimes bring additional obstacles in the workplace, requiring even more determination and confidence.
One of the greatest challenges came when a major health event unexpectedly changed my life, forcing me to adapt physically and mentally while rebuilding my independence and professional path. The experience taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of embracing change rather than fearing it.
Each challenge became an opportunity to learn, reinvent myself, and discover strengths I did not know I had. Those experiences shaped the person I am today and reinforced my belief that growth often comes from the moments we least expect.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
People often ask what I specialize in and what makes me different. The truth is that I see myself as one artist among thousands of talented makeup artists and hairstylists in the beauty and entertainment industry. I have never focused on becoming famous. Instead, I have focused on growing, learning, and creating.

Throughout my career, I have specialized in hairstyling, makeup artistry, and helping people present the best version of themselves. Whether working with everyday clients, television productions, film projects, Miss Universe, Miami Fashion Week, or Nickelodeon, my goal has always been the same: to combine creativity with professionalism.

What I am most proud of is not any single project, but my ability to keep evolving. Whenever I create, I look for inspiration from other creative professionals and continue learning from my peers. I believe creativity is a conversation, not a competition.

In a world as large as ours, it is difficult to measure how well-known any one person is. What matters most to me is the impact I have had on the people I have worked with, the relationships I have built, and the ability to reinvent myself throughout different stages of my life. If there is one thing that sets me apart, it is my curiosity, resilience, and willingness to keep learning and creating, no matter what challenges come my way.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I would also like to recognize my husband, whose loyalty, love, and companionship have been a constant source of strength throughout the years. Life’s journey is rarely traveled alone, and I have been fortunate to share many chapters of my life with someone who has stood by my side through successes, challenges, changes, and new beginnings.

His support has reminded me that resilience is not only an individual quality but something that can grow through partnership, trust, and mutual respect. For that, I am deeply grateful.
Having been born in Chile, and building my life in the United States, and working with people from Latin America, Europe, and many other parts of the world, I have come to appreciate the beauty of diversity. Throughout my career, I have seen how culture, music, language, color, and emotions connect us far more than they separate us.

Some of my most meaningful experiences have come from working with people from different backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions. Those encounters taught me that creativity has no nationality and that empathy is a language understood everywhere.

My journey has allowed me to witness how our differences enrich us and how human beings share many of the same hopes, fears, dreams, and desires regardless of where we come from. If there is one lesson I carry with me, it is that kindness, curiosity, and respect for others can open doors that talent alone cannot.

I believe that every step I have taken—from Chile to the United States, from beauty and entertainment to new technologies and new stages of life—has deepened my appreciation for the universal values that connect us all.
