Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Ellis.
Hi Paul, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey has been one of faith, and a deep commitment to serving people. I was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and raised in Bimini, Bahamas, just 50 miles away from South Florida, where I developed a love for God and ministry at an early age. When I was 12, my parents decided to relocate us to the USA to further our education.
For more than two decades, I have dedicated my life to ministry, leadership development, prayer, and community impact. In 2017, I founded Glory Seekers Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with a simple mission: to create a safe haven for broken people to be made whole. I was in the middle of a divorce when the call to launch my church came. Crazy right? It was through the pain of divorce that I learned the first person God was making whole was me. What began as a burden to gather people in God’s presence has grown into a thriving ministry serving communities today in 2 locations Lauderhill and Port St Lucie.
Along the way, I have also become an author, entrepreneur, speaker, and mentor, helping individuals discover purpose, strengthen their faith, and navigate life’s challenges. Through initiatives such as my annual conference, Prayer Clinic,, I have sought to equip others to fulfill their God-given assignments.
Today, I continue to serve as the Founder and Senior Leader of Glory Seekers Church, Vice Presiding Bishop of the Kingdom Culture Collective, author, husband, father, and grandfather. My story is ultimately a testament to God’s grace—proof that when you remain faithful to His call, He can use ordinary people to make an extraordinary impact.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has certainly not been smooth, but every challenge has played a role in shaping who I am today.
There were seasons of personal setbacks, and moments when the weight of leadership felt overwhelming. Building a ministry from the ground up required faith, sacrifice, and perseverance, especially when resources were limited and the vision was larger than what I could see in the natural.
One of the most difficult seasons of my life was walking through the pain of divorce. Like many life-altering experiences, it forced me to confront disappointment, grief, and the reality that even leaders are not immune to brokenness. I’m not bitter by what happened. She was my first love. She gave me 3 of my greatest blessings, our children. Yet God used that season to heal, refine, and strengthen me in ways I could not have imagined.
We often talk about the pain of divorce through a woman’s lens, however men hurt too. Men experience pain as well.
I was also blessed to have a praying grandmother who faithfully covered my life in prayer. She saw potential in me long before I saw it in myself. Although she went home to be with the Lord before she could witness the full manifestation of many of the prayers she prayed over my life, I carry her legacy with me every day. I often reflect on the fact that I am living in answers to prayers she prayed decades ago.
Along the way, I have faced criticism, setbacks, moments of exhaustion, and seasons where the path forward was unclear. Balancing ministry, family, business, and personal growth has required intentionality and perseverance.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I serve as the Founder and Apostle of Glory Seekers Church, a growing ministry with campuses in Lauderhill and Port St. Lucie, Florida. Since founding the ministry in 2017, my passion has been to create a safe place where people can encounter God’s presence, experience healing, and be equipped to fulfill their Kingdom purpose.
My work extends beyond the local church. I am an author of 11 books, speaker, leadership coach, and entrepreneur with a heart for developing leaders, strengthening churches, and advancing the Kingdom of God through prayer, discipleship, and strategic leadership. Much of my ministry focuses on intercessory prayer, spiritual formation, leadership development, and helping individuals discover their God-given identity and assignment.
Over the years, I have become particularly known for my commitment to prayer and for creating spaces where people can encounter God in a transformational way. One example is Prayer Clinic, an annual gathering that brings together believers from various backgrounds for prayer, worship, teaching, and spiritual empowerment. I am also passionate about raising up the next generation of leaders and helping others find their voice in ministry.
What I am most proud of is not necessarily the platforms, titles, or accomplishments, but the lives that have been transformed along the journey. Seeing people healed, restored, delivered, equipped, and launched into their purpose brings me the greatest sense of fulfillment. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to pastor, mentor, and invest in people who are now making an impact in their families, churches, communities, and beyond.
What sets me apart is my authenticity and my unwavering belief in the power of prayer. I have experienced both mountaintop victories and difficult valleys, and those experiences have shaped my leadership style. I lead from a place of transparency and conviction. I am not interested in simply building a ministry; I am committed to building people. Whether through preaching, teaching, writing, mentoring, or serving, my goal is to help others encounter God, grow in their faith, and walk boldly in the purpose He has ordained for their lives.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are several ways people can work with me, collaborate with me, and support the work God has entrusted to my hands.
First, I am always open to opportunities to serve through preaching, teaching, leadership development, prayer gatherings, conferences, workshops, and ministry training events. Whether it is a local church, organization, leadership team, or community initiative, I enjoy partnering with individuals and ministries that are committed to making a meaningful impact for the Kingdom of God.
I also welcome opportunities to collaborate on projects related to leadership, discipleship, prayer, publishing, and ministry growth. Through speaking engagements, coaching, consulting, and strategic partnerships, I seek to help leaders and organizations maximize their effectiveness and fulfill their God-given vision.
For those who desire to support the work, the greatest support is prayer. I firmly believe that every effective ministry is sustained by faithful intercessors. Additionally, people can support by attending our events, participating in the life of Glory Seekers Church, sharing our resources and content, purchasing books and training materials, and partnering financially with the ministry as we continue to expand our reach and impact communities both locally and abroad.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to see lives transformed by the power and presence of God. If your vision aligns with that mission, I would welcome the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build together for the glory of God.
