Check Out Adriana Arie’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Arie.

Hi Adriana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey started as a sales associate in a cosmetics store. Ironically, that’s also where I met my husband, Daniel. While I was helping customers find the right products, I was quietly dreaming about opening a med spa of my own—one that would combine exceptional treatments with an experience that truly made people feel confident and beautiful.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, instead of putting my dreams on hold, I decided to invest in myself. I enrolled in esthetics school because I wanted to understand every aspect of the business from the ground up. I never wanted to be an owner who only managed from the sidelines—I wanted to know exactly what happened in every treatment room and be able to do it myself.

When I opened Lumière, I started with absolutely nothing but determination. I was the receptionist, the esthetician, the consultant, the scheduler, and sometimes even the cleaning crew at the end of the day. I wore every hat imaginable because I believed that no job is too small when you’re building something you truly love.

As the business grew, so did my vision. But none of it would have been possible without my husband. From day one, he believed in me—even during the moments when I doubted myself. He’s not only my life partner but also my business partner, and his unwavering support gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward.

Looking back, I realize that Lumière wasn’t built overnight. It was built through long hours, countless sacrifices, resilience, and the refusal to give up. It’s proof that with hard work, passion, and the right people by your side, even the biggest dreams can become reality.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. If anything, the journey has been full of challenges.

We’re in an incredibly competitive market, and from the very beginning I knew that simply offering great treatments wouldn’t be enough. We had to figure out what made us different and create an experience that people would remember and trust. Finding our unique identity took time, a lot of trial and error, and constant learning.

In the early days, I was truly a one-woman show. I answered every phone call, greeted every client, performed treatments, handled consultations, managed the schedule, and took care of the day-to-day operations. I wanted everything done perfectly, so I carried the weight of the business on my own shoulders.

Then life happened. My husband and I started our fertility journey, and not long after, I became a mom to twins. Today, I’m also pregnant with our third child. Balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship completely changed my perspective.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth requires letting go. I had to learn to trust my team, delegate responsibilities, and accept that I couldn’t do everything myself. That wasn’t easy for someone who built the business from the ground up, but it was one of the most important decisions I’ve ever made.

Looking back, I realize that the challenges didn’t slow me down—they shaped me into a better leader. They taught me resilience, adaptability, and that building a successful business isn’t about doing everything yourself; it’s about surrounding yourself with great people and empowering them to grow alongside you.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the founder and owner of Lumière Med Spa, where my passion is helping people feel more confident through advanced, non-surgical aesthetic treatments.

Although I’m an entrepreneur today, I made it a priority to understand every aspect of the industry from the ground up. I attended esthetics school because I wanted to be able to perform the treatments myself and truly understand the science and artistry behind every service we offer. That knowledge has allowed me to build a business focused on quality, integrity, and results.

What I’m most proud of isn’t just the growth of the company—it’s the culture we’ve created. I started as a one-woman operation, wearing every hat imaginable: receptionist, esthetician, consultant, scheduler, and manager. Today, I’ve built an incredible team that shares the same commitment to excellence and personalized care.

I believe what truly sets us apart is that we never treat clients like transactions. Every treatment plan is customized, every recommendation is made with honesty, and every decision is based on what’s genuinely best for the client. In an industry that often focuses on selling, we focus on building long-term trust and relationships.

Beyond business, I’m also proud to be balancing entrepreneurship with motherhood. As a mom of twins and currently expecting my third child, I’ve learned that success isn’t about doing everything alone—it’s about building the right team, empowering others, and staying true to your vision no matter how many obstacles you face.

What makes you happy?
For me, happiness comes from building a life that I’m proud of—both personally and professionally.

I’m happiest when I’m with my family. Being a wife, a mother to my twins, and now expecting our third child has completely changed my perspective on success. No business achievement compares to hearing my children laugh or coming home after a long day to be with them.

At the same time, I genuinely love what I do. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping people feel more confident in themselves and watching my team grow alongside the business we built from the ground up. Seeing an idea that started as a dream become a reality is something I never take for granted.

I also find happiness in growth. Whether it’s learning a new skill, overcoming a challenge, or reaching a goal that once felt impossible, those moments remind me that hard work and perseverance truly pay off.

Most importantly, I’m happiest knowing that my children are growing up watching their parents chase their dreams together. I hope they learn that with passion, resilience, and dedication, anything is possible.
