Check Out Tia Simone’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Simone.

Hi Tia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since our initial feature, Pilar Nolé has continued to evolve beyond hair care into a full ritual-based wellness brand. What started as nourishment for the scalp has expanded into nourishment for the body and spirit through curated experiences, intentional tools, and our newest sensory offering, candle rituals. The Orris • Achilia candle is the 1st installation to the Reset Ritual Room. The mission remains absolutely the same, but the vision has widened to support rest, presence, and self-connection in everyday life when a reset is needed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As the brand has grown, the challenges have evolved. The most significant has been learning how to expand while staying aligned. There’s constant pressure to move faster, do more, and scale quickly, but I’ve had to learn discernment and
understanding on when to push forward and when to pause. There were moments of uncertainty, but each challenge strengthened my confidence and commitment to the vision. Growth has required trusting my intuition, setting boundaries, and honoring sustainability over speed.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Can I be honest with you? I quit my career for this! Leaving my professional career as a paralegal was one of the most challenging and affirming decisions I’ve made. While it provided structure and security, I knew I was being called to build something fully aligned with my purpose. Stepping into entrepreneurship required a deeper trust in myself and the vision behind Pilar Nolé. I’ve become even more intentional about protecting that energy. Entrepreneurship requires resilience, but it also requires rest. Pilar Nolé has taught me that alignment matters just as much as ambition, and that slowing down often leads to clearer vision and better decisions.

How do you think about happiness?
Alot, but very little all at the same time lol. Happiness for me lives in connection, presence, and ease. Good food, good energy, and authenticity ground me, but what truly sustains me is knowing that my family, friends, and community are well. That sense of collective well-being allows me to move through life with gratitude and peace. I find joy in simple, intentional rituals, like lighting the Orris candle at the end of the day and allowing myself a moment to slow down and exhale. I’m deeply fulfilled by pleasures that invite curiosity and comfort, whether it is getting lost in an unsolved mystery, indulging in true crime documentaries, or savoring ice cream, caviar, or a great glass of wine. Time spent in nature, especially on a warm summer day, restores me and reminds me to stay present and connected to what truly matters.
